This is the WLTVI video that has the description of the clothes for both girls and mentions Libby wearing black Nikes. The searchers talking from 1.45 on included the guy who says vic/girls and describes looking in ravines, ditches, trash cans and something else that I cannot distinguish. This also has MP talking about the pinging phone.

Delphi murder victim's sister debunks social media rumors

Jul 09, 2019

First, she talked about Feb. 13, 2017, the day the girls disappeared. Kelsi said since that day, critics have bombarded her family on social media.

First rumor: Some say her grandfather did it.

“When we go to the beach, he wouldn't let us go past our ankles because he was worried about us getting eaten by sharks. That’s how kind and caring he is. That's the kind of person people are saying could do something like this, and that is crazy to me,” Kelsi said.

Critics are also accusing Kelsi's dad.

“They will change our words. They twist our words all the time, and he doesn't want you guys to do that, so he just chooses not to speak…To go along with that, there is a rumor that Libby actually called him at 2:30 to ask him to pick them up, which our phone records show that's not true,” Kelsi said.

Then, there are critics claiming other family members may be hiding something from police.

“Absolutely no one refused a lie detector test, that is a very big misconception... And contrary to what most people seem to think, we really like our law enforcement. They are super encouraging. They are very honest with us. They are amazing, and I am so proud of their work,” Kelsi said.

As the family continues grieving, Kelsi said she is hopeful justice will be served.

A couple of important points imo..

Phone Pinging was due to size of Delphi, pinging from 2 different towers but actual phone never left the location.

10-20 kids when dropped girls off... Misspoke in Renner intvw. KG actually saw no-one. 10-20 people known to be at the trails on the day.

DNA evidence is top priority in Delphi murder investigation

Feb 23, 2017

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- On Thursday, investigators say they had recovered DNA evidence from the Delphi crime scene where two girls, 13-year-old Abby Williams and 14-year-old Libby German, were found murdered. [bbm]

That evidence now has top priority for processing by investigators. It’s a strong lead, in a case where authorities have been clamoring for any clue about the murderer. But just how important could is this DNA evidence be?

It is now the third piece of evidence investigators have said publicly they have: the grainy suspect photo, that chilling audio of a man’s voice saying “down the hill,” and now some kind of DNA sample.

“We asked for a fast-track as far as that piece information,” said Carroll County Sheriff Tobe Leazenby. "So I can’t go into specifics because of the ongoing [investigation].”

Police haven’t said specifically what kind of evidence they recovered, but DNA forensics expert Dr. Gay Bush says that evidence could be anything.

“It can be items found at the crime scene such as a cigarette butt, or a bottle, or a cup or a straw,” said Dr. Bush. “Or it can be bodily fluids if there’s some kind of assault.”

Police want to know if Etter is tied to Delphi killings

July 19, 2019

DELPHI — Paul Etter killed himself June 27 during a standoff and while surrounded by police officers on a county road north of Lebanon. Now his life is under a law enforcement microscope.

"His name has come up through the process," Carroll County Sheriff Tobe Leazenby said when asked Friday if detectives awee investigating to determine whether Etter is the killer of teenagers Libby German and Abby Williams.

The two teenage girls were abducted Feb. 13, 2017, from the historic trails east of the city and killed along the north bank of the Deer Creek, about a quarter of a mile east of the Monon High Bridge.

Their killer has not been caught or identified.

Leazenby qualified his comment by noting that detectives have investigated every possible suspect, which is no different than their probe into Etter.

PLEASE NOTE: KELSI GERMAN HAS RECENTLY CORRECTED A COMMENT SHE MADE TO RENNER IN AN INTVW CONTAINED IN THESE EPISODES. IT REFERS TO '10-20 KIDS BEING PRESENT' AT THE TIME OF DROPPING THE GIRLS OFF AT THE TRAILHEAD. KG HAS CLARIFIED THAT ' 10-20 PEOPLE WERE ON THE TRAIL THAT DAY'

In this Fox 59 clip from March 2017, Alexis McAdams talks about hearing from Carter about, 'They have recovered a very important piece of evidence from the crime scene that was linked to the killer'.

I have added the facebook link as well, which is worded slightly different.

Alexis McAdams - QUESTIONS: People had a lot of questions...

Here is the article that goes with it. It is missing the direct quote from Carter, but I have bolded some of the references to evidence.

FBI putting together profile of suspect accused of killing Delphi teens

It is snipped to comply with 10% rule.

"All that information provides police with clues as to what kind of things they should be looking for as they serve search warrants. That, paired with evidence found at the crime scene, could help solve the puzzle.

Indiana State Police superintendent Doug Carter says they have several pieces and parts but they are looking for the one piece of evidence that will crack the case.

“I know that we have the human element – we have a very solid science element,” he said. "

Edited to add in facebook link which has slightly different wording.

“"One of these days we're going to be right. Today will be the day," said Patty, explaining he's optimistic, but not pinning his hopes on recent developments like investigators requesting the DNA and autopsy results of 55-year-old Paul Etter.”

Snip

“Eventually, we're going to get to the bottom of it, whether it's this tip or not," said Patty.

Patty hopes a new police sketch of the suspect, released in April, will get them closer.

It's the second sketch investigators have shown the public. Early in the investigation, police released a sketch of a man they thought was the suspect, but have since said it's not the man for whom they're looking.

"Whatever information they collected, enabled law enforcement to make this determination," said Patty of the second sketch.”

Snip

“Patty stays alert.

"He's been here once and we seen what he did. Could he be right here, now? Could he still here? Could he have never left?" asked Patty. "All those thoughts go through my mind all the time."

Two-and-a-half years later, Mike Patty never thought he'd be still waiting for answers.

"I really figured we'd be closer. You know what I mean? And would have had some sort of resolution by now," said Patty.

He knows it's coming, though. Patty's a patient man who hasn't lost hope.

"We're going to get this guy. There's too many people out there, helping us to get this done," Patty said.”
