WHAT??!!!!!! On what grounds was this ALL dismissed?? No evidence?? Geez... I guess Rolando does not get his justice... :(

And I see it says Release from Custody - but I do not believe that is true since he is serving 86 years for Amanda's murder plus another 20 years for rape charge.

:(

It states that's for this cause only.

Well I would hope so! :)

Wondering why the State asked for dismissal? Is it because they already have him in prison for 86 years? and didn't want to waste the $$$ trying him on this murder?

They have waited so long, who knows what happened to the witnesses. From this article:

Rolando Gonzalez-Hernandez
The 27-year-old Indianapolis man’s body was found next to his sport-utility vehicle at an apartment complex and he had died from a gunshot wound to the head, according to a probable-cause affidavit.

That court document states that three cooperating witnesses told authorities Taylor said he robbed and shot someone at the apartment complex where Gonzalez-Hernandez was slain. One of the witnesses told police Taylor said he robbed and shot “a Mexican” and found only $10 in his wallet.

@Niner This is one of those cases that I wanted to never look back on; but here I am. Murder Sheet did a podcast on LT's sentencing so I listened to it today. There wasn't much that we didn't know except for the victims' impact statements; those are always hard to hear. They also mentioned this (which I had forgotten):

If, 30 calendar years from sentencing (10/14/2022-10/14/2052), if in the last 10 years there are no writeups (from 2042-2052), the defendant can write to the court and ask for change of placement or reduction of sentence.

If Amanda hadn't been murdered, her children would be all excited today to give her their Mother's Day card and the church congregation would be celebrating this wonderful little family. It's just sad.

LT has filed an appeal and his brief is due by June 5. Case # 22A-CR-02615
Here is the MS link:

Do you have a date on the filing of appeal? I just want to update my notes - if you have it handy. TIA!
