“Wednesday, police searched an area on the west side after getting a tip close to the investigation. That tip brought them to the banks of the White River near McCarty and Sadie Streets.
Baby Amiah's mom, Amber Robertson, told Eyewitness News she's the one who called it in to police.
"All I can do is sit and think of things that my daughter loves," said Robertson, who said she's had more on her mind, like trying to remember past conversations with her boyfriend, who she said was supposed to take 8-month-old Amiah to the babysitter's last Thursday, but never got there.
"Robert, a long time ago, told me about 1907. That it was somewhere where he and his friends used to hang around and he drove me by here one time," said Robertson.
So she went back there Wednesday afternoon.
That's where she says she found items that belonged to her daughter and boyfriend, so she called 911. The call brought out IMPD and IFD's dive team to collect possible evidence.
"They discovered some items that could be related to the case, however that is not conclusive at this time," said IMPD Sgt. Jim Gillespie.“

“Wednesday, police searched an area on the west side after getting a tip close to the investigation. That tip brought them to the banks of the White River near McCarty and Sadie Streets.
Baby Amiah's mom, Amber Robertson, told Eyewitness News she's the one who called it in to police.
"All I can do is sit and think of things that my daughter loves," said Robertson, who said she's had more on her mind, like trying to remember past conversations with her boyfriend, who she said was supposed to take 8-month-old Amiah to the babysitter's last Thursday, but never got there.
"Robert, a long time ago, told me about 1907. That it was somewhere where he and his friends used to hang around and he drove me by here one time," said Robertson.
So she went back there Wednesday afternoon.
That's where she says she found items that belonged to her daughter and boyfriend, so she called 911. The call brought out IMPD and IFD's dive team to collect possible evidence.
"They discovered some items that could be related to the case, however that is not conclusive at this time," said IMPD Sgt. Jim Gillespie.“

Crews search west side pond for evidence in case of missing baby Amiah Robertson
“A water search in connection with the disappearance of 8-month-old Amiah Robertson wrapped up for the day Monday evening on the Indianapolis northwest side.
Authorities did not say whether they found anything that would lead them to Amiah.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department detectives and firefighters from several fire departments were called to a pond at the Mariner's Village Apartments just after 9:30 a.m.”

Detectives have been tracking down a number of leads across the city.
Fire department boats used side-scanning sonar technology that creates a picture or an image of what is at the bottom of the pond.
The crews are also utilizing divers to physically search underwater.

“Divers searched a west side pond Monday afternoon in connection with the case of missing baby Amiah Robertson.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), the Wayne Township Fire Department sent divers to a lake on Mariner Drive to look for potential evidence. The Indianapolis Fire Department and Pike Township Fire Department assisted in the effort, along with a canine.“

“The pond at the Pebble Point and Mariners Village Apartments is a couple miles northwest of that location. An IMPD homicide detective and fire department divers were at the scene for almost three hours Sunday night before darkness forced them to call off the search.
Monday's search, based on a tip, did not yield any clues.
After searching the pond Monday morning, Wayne Township firefighters then accompanied a search dog as it probed a wooded area behind the Addison Creek on Rockville Apartments and a nearby pond at the Ashton Pointe Apartments in what amounted to a proactive search of secluded areas in a part of town where IMPD believes Lyons travels.“

Reporter ?: Can you tell us a little bit more about this vehicle and when it was spotted over bout Rockville and M and what you think was going on over there, what’s in that part of town, why would somebody be driving around over there, does he know anybody over there, what is significant about that neighborhood and that day?:

“I’ll just tell you what is significant, it was approximately around 1:30 pm until about 8:30 in the evening on March 9th that he was in that area, there’s a food mart there, there are apartments there BBM and that’s as far as I want to go with that.”
“Its R and M right there on the corner there’s a food mart and a laundromat and the Addison apartments.”
BBM:
?: “Is that an area that he frequents, he lives around over there, he knows people over there?”
JB: “It’s an area I know he was there on March 9, I’m not sure what he was doing and that’s why I’m asking for help, why he was in that area.”
?: “Should I assume then that you've either got people that spotted him over there, or maybe there’s surveillance video of that vehicle in the area?”
JB: “I think with the integrity of the investigation I would rather not answer that.”
