Found some information…

“Generally, child solicitation is always a felony in Indiana; the question is what level. The charge will be either a Level 4 felony (more serious) or a Level 5 felony (somewhat less serious). Solicitation means commanding, authorizing, urging, inciting or requesting someone to perform certain sexual acts.”

It includes not just in person, but by computer, phone, mail, etc.

We were unsure if he met up with her in person or just tried to make a connection through social media.

LE has known those images were on his devices for at least 3 years. KAK has known LE has known those images were there since 2017. All of us have known those images were there since December of 2021.
Why did it take until today for justice to arrive.

Kegan Kline admits that he created and used catfish social media profiles "anthony_shots" and "Emily Ann" using photos that were not him and misrepresenting his identity. He also admits that he obstructed justice by deleting social media apps from his devices.

Kegan Kline interviewed by his attorney Andrew Achey, then prosecution asks a few questions. And the judge confirms that Kline has seen all the images he is charged with possessing. 15 minute recess while judge reviews video material. Attorneys will coordinate sentencing date.
 
So disappointed not sentenced today.

I can't explain the delay in the arrest itself, but after he is in custody, he is in practicality, serving his sentence before he has been convicted. He had the same rights, as did the prosecutor, to ask for continuances as do all defendants awaiting trial. All across the country, there is a shortage of personnel, cases have been backed up for several years.

Prosecutor made it clear that there was no deal made. Prosecutor went to KK’s defense attorney and said there is no deal available in this case. Either go to trial or plead guilty. KK plead guilty to all 25 charges.

VP: Did anyone acknowledge any connection between Abby & Libby?
MS: The only thing linking them to KK is behind the “anthony_shots” social media account and LE believe that “anthony_shots” social media account was in touch with Libby before her murder.

Discussion between VP and cast:

No mention about the Delphi murder case during KK hearing.

Possibly KK may get 30 years.

Possibly may see digital footprint that ties these two (KK & RA) and others together.

MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. — Kegan Kline pleaded guilty on Thursday at the Miami Circuit Court in his child *advertiser censored* case.
He was facing 25 charges ranging from child exploitation and possession of child *advertiser censored* to obstruction of justice.

The prosecutor said there is no plea agreement being offered, but Kline and his attorney indicated he was ready to plead guilty to the charges. The sentencing will be left up to the judge.


Kline is not a suspect in the Delphi double murders case.

For a short summary, MOO, the probation reports that are filed before sentencing are posted to the court record but they cannot be read as they are confidential, as should be expected, as it is the norm. And then some info on the Delphi case, discussed on that thread, just a discussion of the news of the work and prison records of RA being subpoenaed by the prosecutor. Requests for subpoenas are sealed.

One thing about KAK was he once mentioned to his girlfriend that he preferred smaller or skinnier bodies. She was messing around in his cell phone one night while he was sleeping and found his dropbox. He was mad when he found out; told her it was from the past. She gave his gun to LE.

TK and Rick Snay (Delphi After Dark) have become friends. TK didn't remember ever pointing a gun at anyone in his family. Thought KAK should get the death penalty if he was responsible for the Delphi murders. KAK's gf thought he should get the DP for his current charges.

I'll add a couple things. RS says that TK claims to have taken a polygraph, given DNA samples, twice, and his dog's DNA was taken, as well...in regards to Delphi. I recall there being a raid in Nov. 2021 at the Peru house, with TK's dog being taken for awhile. For anyone who thinks KAK and TK were red herrings, I have my doubts. LE was looking hard at them. Not that it means anything with RA's arrest now, but LE must have had reason to come back to them multiple times over six years. It might have been nothing more than LE's best guess at the time, too. It's interesting to me.
