Anyone see this article from LoHud posted last night?

I thought it was very interesting...a few new details...most interesting to me was this:
"Another friend from Rosenbaum's hometown was also staying at the apartment, said Tamir, who has spoken to Rohn and Rosenbaum.

Capt. Qualters did not respond to inquiries Friday about whether police were aware of, or had interviewed, Rosenbaum's visitor."

Absolutely! And the media has the right to point out who is talking, to whom they're talking, how much they're talking, when they're talking and when they stop, how long they, talk...etc

I don't recall having ever read a MSM story say anything more than "X would not comment," and especially not writing a story devoted to and further characterizing that lack of cooperation with the individual news source.

You're assuming that she was in a frame of mind to even be able to decide what was appropriate. With a certain amount of impairment, questions of whether consent has been given become irrelevant because one is no longer thinking clearly or at all.

I never said I was assuming that she was in the right frame of mind to decide what was appropriate. But whatever state of mind she was in, she must have not deemed it inappropriate, or why would she leave with CR even after the altercation. That doesn't mean that when she sobered up she wouldn't have decided differently.

So now we know who Salzmann meant in saying she was seen by 3 people other than CR after the Smallwood encounter.

The lawyer alluded to it, when he said CR wasn't the last person to see LS, but actually three other people saw LS that night. One would be MB, the other would be JR, and that leaves another person whose name we don't know.

Once again, HT seems to be the spokesperson of the group--the traffic controller if you will, of what happened, when, and with whom, to the media.

I posted the same thing. Yes, there was always a suspicion that somebody else was there who was not named by the media.

I'm suggesting that she may have been in a frame of mind in which decision-making capacity effectively did not exist, i.e. in which no conclusion about her thoughts can be drawn from her actions.

A new thread will be opening very soon, so you might want to hold off on typing any long posts. Be back in a few minutes with the link.

Well at least someone is talking. I really don't get the posts essentially blaming HT for talking-don't we want all of them to talk as much as possible?

You don't know that they weren't, only that they encountered this one individual on (indeterminate date).

CM, neighbor of CR, was interviewed for the early USAToday article:

"Supposedly he had that big altercation, but he didn't look like anything happened to him," said senior Chris Malone, who saw Corey the next morning, Feb. 4.
Rossman was outside his apartment, asking Malone if he'd seen Spierer.
"What's up boys?" Malone quoted Rossman as telling him. "Did you happen to see a little blond girl?"
Malone, who hadn't seen her, said he knows Rossman and roommate Mike Beth because they played in his Fantasy Football League and would sometimes grill together.

That sounds too casual an inquiry for SATURDAY morning, at least 20 hours after LE took the missing person report. IMHO of course.....

Well only she herself would know what her exact state of mind was.
But from what I understand, she could still walk and talk.

Well whenever it was, it sure was not in February, as that article claims. LOL.

Perhaps. If it were Friday morning, however, before the disappearance was discovered, why would he be asking? I have no good answer to that question.

It's also worth asking whether the account is accurate - perhaps this student has a grudge against CR. Note the potentially gratuitous reference to his party habits.

So could CR, but he was in a frame of mind in which all memory from that time or even 15 minutes prior (it has been reported) to his waking up was erased. Alcohol and drugs can impair decision-making functions in the brain without incapacitating the motor system.

Not that I don't believe CR's memory loss, but there is no real way to check whether he actually has memory loss or remembers what he was doing that night.

YIKES! Thanks for pointing that out jjenny. If they got the MONTH wrong in that article, I have a hard time taking anything else from it seriously.
Ugh...maybe that's why nothing more came from this neighbor's supposed report in that now-questionable article.
