Found Deceased IN - Paul Etter wanted for Kidnapping, Tippecanoe County, 22 June 2019

No apparent updates other than just on the look out for him. What is the background of this guy?
He's been charged with felonies three times previously (1994, 1997 & 2002). Twice he pleaded guilty and once he was acquitted.

I can only find the actual charges for the 2002 conviction: Residential Entry; Resisting Law Enforcement; and Battery.

Searchable from here:

Lots of driving offences (he really doesn't like to wear a seatbelt) plus financial troubles.

ETA: This is for Indiana, I haven't looked at other states.

I'm also noticing financial problems when I'm looking at his property records. I'll dig into it further this afternoon.

Those 2002 charges are interesting, especially the Battery!

Just have to say his family must be horrified. He is (or was, not sure current status) married with a lot of kids.

I'm also concerned that because LE said he is armed with a handgun he may have taken his life. You would think they would have found him by now. He is on foot......

Made me think of Libby and Abbey immediately. Compare his posture please to the man on the bridge in their case ASAP. I know it's just a mugshot, I guess it is the tilt of his head, something rang my internal alarm like mad the moment I saw him, ie the structure of his face, etc.

Yes, yes, yes...you are not alone!

Just posting the seat belt case details as it shows his height and weight from 2.5 years ago. May be of interest.

Also LE commented in the latest article I posted that the picture they have out of him is 7 years old but he still looks the same.

Would his DNA be in LE database(s) from his previous arrests? Not sure how that works/if it varies by state.

What a nightmare for the poor victim. I am shocked (but obviously relieved) that he let her go. Which makes me very concerned that he took his own life.

If he is convicted of a felony, then yes his DNA should be in CODIS but if he did a plea deal down to a misdemeanour then no. So answer is "it depends".

They may well have DNA from this attack, in fact, I would assume that would be very likely.
