GUILTY IN - Two women, 2 babies shot to death in Indy home invasion, 14 Jan 2008

Somebody was sending a message. Maybe someone got ripped off or somebody opened their mouth around the wrong people. People that shoot innocent children certainly won't be snitched on up the road, and you won't cross them. Unfortunately these little children paid for the sins of someone else. NOW they get teddy bears and balloons.
 
Hi Indy, Yeah I have been following this on the news sooooo sad....And how can somebody shot a little bity baby right in the face, they couldnt talk and tell my god.....It said the mom and baby were shot in the face. Im not sure about the other 2..
 
It is terribly sad that the four of them were shot not just the babies. I hear people ask what monsters would shoot the babies? What kind of people would shoot anyone?! Gang bangers do not care if they kill people and as a matter of fact...it is required to be done in order to enter certain gangs.

It does sound like a gang style retalliation to me. Living a high risk lifestyle covers the majority of impoverished in this country. Children are subjected every day to gunfire, crime, and drugs in their neighborhoods and homes. It is not only a problem in Indy...it is a problem everywhere that we have lost control of as a civilized society.

My feelings exactly Filly.
Someone was sending a message.
One of the mothers graduated from HS at the same school
my sons went to. We are in a district that busses from a Northern
Community to our School System. This young lady was afforded
the chance to improve her situation. But seems they are determined
to go back to what they know. So sad. These mothers and babies
died because of the evil that exists and because they were involved
with bad people. But why the babies, WHY. Someone is really pizzed
off at someone and wants them to know it.
 
I will find articles once i catch up reading here. But last night they said one of the dads is in jail and they are trying to connect this with a HUGE coke bust that happened recently.

ETA They also said this was a known drug house and gambling house.
 
I was reading the comments for one of the articles and one person simply said "The gunmen weren't after the women - they were after the homeowner" or something to that effect. Wonder if that has any truth to it.

So they shot them and their children anyway. Could have some bearing, but people like that as we mentioned take no mercy. It's their livliehood. It's how they make their money. Nobody in them situations is exempt.

Yes last night on news it says the owner is into stuff. Also cant find anything to back up what I said earlier but they did state that on news. Will watch for updates all day.

On a sad note another baby was shot in the head by his dad yesterday. dad says he was cleaning his gun, but dad and moms stories didnt match. So that is 3 babies in 3 days to be shot here, GRRRRRRR

Oh that poor baby. To read he was screaming hysterically broke my heart. I thought he would be unconscious after being shot in he head. They did say his condition was upgraded. I really want to hear the mother's side of the story.

Indianapolis - SWAT teams have surrounded an apartment building on the city's near north side at 21st and Capitol this afternoon.
Police say they're looking for murder suspects, but could not confirm if the SWAT call-out is related to the search for the suspects involved in the killings of two women and two children on Hovey Street Monday night.
Police have closed off West 21st Street. Officers are escorting residents out of the building.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Chief Michael Spears is at the scene, along with Indiana State Police.
This story will be updated as information becomes available.

Hate to say this and it in no way excuses anybody shooting children for any reason, but even if those women are not the homeowners they had to know that guns and drugs were in that house. Maybe the SWAT team will get them.It takes babies being murdered though to go after these dealers. So sad.

Channel 13 has learned that about the same time as the warrant sweep, an Indianapolis man showed up at the Toledo, Ohio police station. He reportedly told Toledo officers he needed to talk to Indianapolis homicide detectives.In an exclusive interview, the same man told Indianapolis Star police reporter Vic Ryckaert he witnessed the murders.
"The other man kicked in the door, asked for drugs and money. He says the other man starting shooting," said Ryckaert.

The fact that there was pot in the house doesn't mean that the moms should have been "prepared to pay" in a manner such as this. Drug usage is surely a risky behavior, but that doesn't mean they should've been prepared to pay like this.

There's no link of the murders to the drugs, is there? The pot was left there.
 
i think it's clear here they were related. somebody owed somebody money or ripped somebody off. it's simple.. you don't want trouble in your life.. don't get involved with drugs and drug dealers. seems like a no-brainer to me. RIP.....
