If, as reported by the above DM article, Whitbread “is looking forward to having his say and telling the truth about what happened” (in his lawyer’s words), then he and his defence team must have changed their mind by going ‘no comment’ in front of the judge yesterday. Uccise la compagna a Chieti e fuggì in Inghilterra. A Rebibbia il primo interrogatorio
The above article also reports that:
- the trial is due to start on 22nd November
- MW was the only person seen entering and leaving the house where the murder took between 28th-30th October last year.
- traces of Whitbread's blood were then found on the victim’s clothes (there was probably a fight between the two, she attempted to defend herself or disarm him and he was injured.)
- nothing significant seems to have emerged from the examination of the couple’s IT devices
