Jahi McMath is Taken off Life Support Discussion

"New Study - Jahi McMath Was Not Dead Despite Satisfying Brain Death"
"In the April 2021 issue of Journal of Neurosurgical Sciences, Calixto Machado shows that Jahi McMath was not dead even though several California neurologists had earlier confirmed she satisfied prevailing tests and measures for determining death by neurological criteria."

I'm not sure what to make of the article this health law professor's** blog references.
IIRC years ago when ^ Machado weighed in publicly re Jahi, his credentials for doing so were questioned, but I do not recall specifically which aspect. Not board cert'ed (in neurology?)? Disciplinary actions - suspension or revocation - re his medical license? Had not examined Jahi in person?
Anyone recall?

In future legal medical futility cases, will Machado's article be a basis for expert testimony that the patient is in a new state of disorder of consciousness,* so not legally dead under UDDA?

These two links were probably previously linked but I found them on a new search. Doesn't sound like either one actually treated or visited her. Interesting read.

The first one is the sworn declaration of Dr Machado wherein he lists all his credentials.
The second link is from a neurologist D Alan Shewmon.

In answer to your question, could this be why?
(From first link - page 3)

'I was unable to make a clinical examination of this case, because I don’t have the US license medical license.'
