I asked this question on another thread and was advised that it may not happen until trial. I am soooooo confused by this............how can a lawyer not qualified to handle a dp case be in charge of strategy/filing motions/giving press conferences???? Just seems like an appeal waiting to happen to me.
I don't get it, either. I don't really know the specifics of LKB, so I can't rule her out or in as potential "lead counsel." She isn't automatically disqualified for only being admitted PHV, but the rest I'm not sure of. TM, who despite his Bar problems in California apparently has been admitted PHV anyway, doesn't seem to be qualified. He isn't a criminal lawyer. I doubt he has been attending lots of seminars specifically devoted to the DP in the last couple of years, since he has suggested he wasn't actively handling his practice very well. I guess we have to go with what JB's effusive, friendly new spokesperson has said: the have a whole host of DP qualified lawyers, but she didn't feel like naming them.
