If I were an innocent Joan Harmon and Kit was such a monster as described by her son and he filed for divorce, kicked me out of my house, and murdered three people, so he wouldn’t get convicted at a court martial and ruin his career due to my allegations that started the Court martial, I would do everything in my power to ensure Kit got convicted. I would be terrified about the possibility that he could be acquitted and be released from jail as a free man. The last thing I would do would be to plead the 5th and allow them to point the finger at me and get him acquitted out of fear that he would kill me and my son in retribution when he was released from jail. If I were a guilty of Joan Harmon, then I would plead the 5th, so Kit’s attorneys (particularly the female one who is very crisp and prepared in her cross examinations) would not have a Perry Mason moment with me or my son who I allegedly had Steven Durham walk over to the Dollar General next to his shop to tell him to keep his mouth shut. But that would take the kind of woman who was a convicted bigamist, who abandoned a guy without divorcing him, married another guy, told her son that his father was decapitated in a logging accident, coached her kid to testify falsely in a violence protective order hearing to the extent that an attorney who happened to be waiting during a docket call and witnessed it notified Kit or Kit’s attorney and the judge. You know, an evil, beautiful, manipulative kind of woman.
