She is considered missing with Ismael Beltran, 36, who also goes by the name of Pallett, according to police records.
Hughes' car was left in an auto shop for repairs. She borrowed her mother's car July 5 and had two men with her when she picked it up, records show. Hughes' mother tried to call Hughes several times and on July 8, Hughes returned her mother's call. She said she would bring the car back as soon as possible and told her mother she was trying to get Pallet to leave her house and she couldn't talk about it.
At just after midnight July 9, Hughes' mother heard a car door shut in her driveway. She looked out to see who it was and saw her car had been returned, police records show.
Her [Robin's] bedroom door was locked from the inside but Hughes' father and son were able to force it open. Her father told police he did not see any signs of a struggle. Her father also told police that he stopped by Beltran's place of employment and learned that Beltran was no longer employed, records show.
