We are asking for the public’s assistance in looking for Elizabeth “Libbie” Lockey. She is 52, approx 5’5”, 110 lbs. Unknown clothing. She was last seen at 2:00 this morning at the Hotel Bentley and she last sent a text message around 5:00 am. She may be in some mental distress.‬

The search for a woman who might have jumped into the Red River — a search that uncovered another person's body — stopped at dark Sunday, but is expected to start again Monday morning.

Searchers from the Alexandria Fire Department, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and the Rapides and Natchitoches sheriffs offices were on the Red River in downtown Alexandria after the Alexandria Police Department received a report about a possible attempted suicide.

The department also issued a public plea on Sunday for help finding a Pineville woman, 52-year-old Elizabeth "Libby" Lockey. The department did not state whether the search for Lockey is connected to the river search.

Yes, appears that this may be her that was on the bridge... but the body found was and elderly man.

I was surprised to see Libby's obituary in my local paper today after having seen this thread. Apparently she's being buried with her grandparents in Newton, WV, where I've got innumerable people myself. RIP, dear heart.
