The family of a missing Lafayette man is asking for help from the community to locate him after nearly a week with no communication from him.

Lafayette Police and the family say that 36-year-old Kyle Hall was last seen at the Walmart on the Evangeline Thruway on Saturday, February 3, 2018. In a post on Facebook Kyle's sister says that he was driving a Navy Blue Mazda MPV van. A photo of the vehicle has been provided.

Flyers have also been made by those helping in the search in an effort to spread the word on his disappearance. The family will be meeting at Carpe Diem on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at 9:00 am for those who wish to help hand out flyers.

If anyone has seen him or knows where he might be, please call Lafayette Police.

Loni Hall said her brother left his Lafayette home without his phone, backpack, notebooks and other items he typically carries with him.

“Every indication was that he was coming back home,” she said. “There were just things that do not make sense. There was money sitting on the table. The neighbors said he was planning on coming back. He was just running to the store.”

Loni Hall said the family waited a few days to hear from Kyle. They became increasingly concerned when his girlfriend and close friends could not get in touch with him.

“There are certain people he always stays in contact with,” Loni Hall said.

Officer Karl Ratcliff, spokesman for the Lafayette Police Department, confirmed the agency is investigating Kyle Hall’s disappearance. No further details about the investigation were immediately available.

He was recently involved in a traffic crash and family members say he had not been acting himself lately. *

A favorite hangout for Kyle was CARPE DIEM in downtown Lafayette, his family says.*
