LAFAYETTE, La. — The Lafayette Police Department are looking for a missing pregnant woman in Lafayette who was last seen on Jan. 4, 2021.

According to her family, Skye Angers, 30, is 7 months pregnant.

LPD say they have an active missing person report that was filed on Jan. 9, and are following up on leads regarding her whereabouts.

According to the complainant, LPD says she was last seen in Lafayette and is pregnant.

Not much info to go on. Where in Lafayette was Skye seen? Who does she live with? Who is the father of the unborn child and how is their relationship ?

• She was last seen by her family in January.
• She is pregnant with a baby girl who is due in April.
• She was last seen on Jan 4 in the Lafayette area when she called family members to say she was coming over for dinner, but never arrived.
• Her Snap chat and Facebook pages have also gone silent, and calls to her cell phone have gone unanswered, TA [her mother] said.
• LE has received leads on possible sightings and has followed up on all of them.

Sounds like maybe she went missing on purpose? Just by the things her mom says. I wonder if she was into drugs. My aunt, who was eventually murdered, would “go missing” for months at a time when she was on a binge. No one could locate her. She’d eventually pop back up like nothing happened until the last time she did this and was murdered over drugs/drug deal gone bad. We aren’t really sure. Granted, she wasn’t pregnant but addiction has no boundaries. All speculation and MOO due to past experiences. Praying for Skye and especially for her baby girl.

Oh wow. I didn’t know she had a record but it sure sounded like familiar to me. I hope she’s safe and seeks help ASAP.

Domestic violence could also be a play here? Was someone unhappy about a pregnancy? This case makes me very sad. I always think about how different life could be when I look at their photo.

Hoping Skye is safe somewhere, counting the days until her sweet baby girl comes.

Family: Missing pregnant woman, unborn baby are dead

There is new information in the search for a missing pregnant woman in Lafayette.

Skye Angers' mother shared the news in a post on Facebook Tuesday night, saying, "It has been confirmed that my daughter, Skye and her unborn baby are dead." Her mother adds that Skye's body was dumped, but hasn't been located.

I can't imagine a Mother would put news of this nature out to the media if she wasn't confident it was true. It doesn't sound like LPD wanted this released yet though.
