Well, we have almost four whole years between Phyllis' disappearance and Jane Doe's discovery, but reading the circumstances of her disappearance, I'm not so sure. From her NamUS:

Maue was last seen getting into a van driven by her lover, Ray Phillips, at 2 PM on June 25, 1982. She had begun an affair with him when her marriage started to collapse, but Maue wanted to end it due to Phillips' violent temper.

The goodbye letter -possibily written by Phillips- stated that they were headed for NY, but that could just be bs. It certainly leaves room for them ending up in LA after a while; we certainly know weirder things have happened in the strange world of UIDs!

Several stats adds up, too.

I remember back in 2019, they put out an article saying they'd uploaded her DNA to GEDMatch (or something similar) and were trying to trace her family tree. I found a link to the article but it now just gives error 404. Did they ever give any updates about that? It's been awful long since.

Having had two car accidents she could have the scars and the hip damages.
The scar on the face would not be seen because of the knife used.

I always think of Babette Nadine Alberti when I get alerts for this thread. Alberti lived in the area and disappeared before Jane Doe was found. She also had scars on her abdomen and wrists and may have gotten into sex work, which could explain the surgeries/implants. Doesn't seem like she's ever been ruled out despite both cases have DNA/dental records on file. One big conundrum is the tattoos, though, that Alberti reportedly had. You'd think that'd be recorded on the Jane Doe.

Pamela’s last known residence was Fort Lauderdale, FL. She was also known as Deborah Gail Justice.
