well i am not surprised building a case around AB ...well how can the state be surprised? And to top it off he will get out earlier for his big shoot out....out to what I don't know because he is now a wanted man in his world...snitch extraordinaire!! As Sullivan was speaking today you could see he was already getting ready for the "team's" next case together which will be the appeal...they will take over for his appointed attys. Even Judge Locke seemed a bit stunned ...truth be told jury looked pretty disgusted and I believe some wanted guilty but came over. I think they tried to follow the instructions to the letter and frankly the cw case left way too much doubt and most of their witnesses were high or at best unreliable.

Just wow...I really would not be surprised if he got out one day. Life sentence or not...

At this point I will not be surprised if the other trial verdict is overturned...that was another parade of ****s...I hope not though. For all wondering about who is paying Jose Baez...well he is set for life...any high profile case with a probably guilty defendant will be looking for Jose.

Well here we go again, ie., another football player getting away with murdering two people. Not surprising really. I've come to the conclusion that trial by jury should go the way of the Edsel. Obviously the gene pool has thinned out to bottom feeders of society. Really? All you have to do is throw or catch a football and you get a free pass.

And this means that Baez is celebrating and stuffing his chipmunk cheeks with lobstah!
I do not get this at all.

Me neither. Baez has never said or done one thing that has impressed me. If he had, I would have grudging respect for him. If he was charming, I would grudgingly admit that he has charisma. Instead, I find him completely and utterly viscerally repulsive on every possible level.

He's physically unattractive. Every time he's opened his mouth he sounds arrogant, he comes across like a buffoon and he's shady as all get out. There's absolutely nothing compelling or endearing about him. That this happened a second time is like the Twilight Zone.

I could never see him as a good lawyer, because IMO, he just isn't. His actions reflect badly on lawyers out there who do care about the Constitution, our justice system, and more than watching themselves spread lies on TV.

Baez sniffs out the most most high profile crimes he can find. He's a whiny bottom feeder. He lies and manipulates and monologues about how wronged his client (who this time already has one murder conviction under his belt) has been by the entire world. He's as appalling as the people he defends.

This. does. not. make. sense.

I get how this just does not seem right but based on what the jury forewoman said...and what I saw....following the letter of the law and the instructions jury was given cw did not prove the case...the joint venture theory of the first trial got the conviction but instead of doing that this time the cw immunized AB and hung their case on him and could not use joint venture. I am more upset with the cw and their strategy here than with the defense team that had it pretty easy given the cw weak case. This jury did not buy anything AB said and neither did I. And the really sad thing is these families are once again going thru hell.

I regret giving up my residency in that County!!!!!! I am trying to justify this with the fact I would never be allowed to sit on a jury there but still...he is already appealing Lloyd..I hope he gets prison justice in the meantime. I hope the DAs office starts monitoring the jurors financials because I wouldn't put it past anyone to offer an incentive...witness intimidation is no big deal...how low will they go?

Does this make Baez 2-2 now? IMO, he is just an average lawyer, how does he keep winning these high profile cases?

Hi Bordem, long time!!

Maybe Baez can arrange a meeting with Casey and Aaron...2 murderers he managed to acquit. :(

Funny coincidence that people keep dying violent deaths around Mr. Hernandez and he seems to have real issues with controlling his temper.

Boy it's a stretch to think that a convicted killer could possibly be involved in another murder.

Corruption.

IMO of course.

I was barely able to buy one miraculous verdict, I just can't buy a second one. Especially with his history of shady dealings and the mountain of bar complaints that were filed against him.

Agree, and can you imagine the size of his ego right now? I don't get it. I don't always agree with the verdicts but I try and accept them, but between this one and Casey Anthony, these are hard to swallow......jmo

I truly feel horrible for the victims & families.
Crystal ball prediction: If there's any consolation & if eventually AH gets an overturn on the OL murder, AH has none of the life skills to cope. And he'll have no money or career. And his actions will speak volumes....once again

I would really like to know how this jury explained away AH's SUV hidden away in his uncle's garage for over a year, but doubt we'll hear any more from this jury than that one quick sentence after verdict.

Most of all, I am deeply saddened for the families of these two young murdered men. Their anguish after the verdict was read was heartbreaking. For over a month, they had to listen to Baez re-victimizing these young men hinting they were involved in a Cape Verdean gang involved in drug deals, along with the other crap that was thrown around the courtroom. Some in these families didn't speak English and needed interpreters, making this even worse. That little show at the end of the trial where Shayanna brought in her daughter for the daily jury dismissal was appalling.

As far as AH, he is already a convicted murderer that probably has already been escorted back to his home at the Souza-Baranowski Prison where he belongs. I'm sure he has high hopes of leaving there on an appeal, but his chances are slim at best. There was much more evidence and Judge Garsh gave the defense a lot of leeway, and besides, this appeal will be thousands of pages of a two month trial and will take a long, long time to review and make a decision. It will also get thrown on the stack of other appeals. It will be many years.

I had to throw this in there... Baez gave an interview to TMZ of all places that was reported by NBC. Sounds like unless AH can come up with the cash needed, Baez & Co. may not hang around.

Thanks for the article, BUF.
It seems with this win, Baez may have to take on clients with lots of dough. No need to take on cases per gratis/pro bono. That may take AH out of the equation for future appeal unless "supporters" come forward!

I am UTTERLY SICK TO MY STOMACH. What a DISGRACE. Who the hell else did this but AH.

The Boston Police has NO suspects until they FOUND HIS CAR in Bristol. After AB ratted him out to the Police.

AND he is NOT guilty. I just want to throw up literally.

:tyou:
