Brian Walshe was captured on CCTV buying $450 (£370) worth of cleaning supplies at a home improvement store the day after his wife was last seen, according to a prosecutor.
He did not tell police he had been to the home improvement store, where he bought mops, buckets, tarps, tape and other items on January 2.
Attorney Beland said Brian misled investigators so he could either buy more time or dispose of evidence.
Brian Walshe, 46, from Massachusetts, US, has been charged with 39-year-old Ana Walshe's murder after she was reported missing by her employer on January 4 on New Year's Day
His attorney was trying to prevent them from publicly stating all the evidence that they had by quickly saying that they weren't contesting bail IMO
The details of this must be more horrific than we even realize.
Edit from the live arraignment we hear:
He googled using his son's iPad some of these searches on January 1st: "how long before a body starts to smell" "how to stop a body from decomposing "10 ways to dispose of a dead body" "how long for someone to be missing to inherit" "can you throw away body parts" "what does formaldehyde do" "how long does DNA last" "can id be made on partial remains". "how to clean blood from wooden floor" "luminol to detect blood" "body parts in ammonia" among other searches.
On January 2nd he googled - "hacksaw best tool to dismember" "can you be charged with murder without a body" "can you identify a body with broken teeth"
How long before a body starts to smell
How to stop a body from decomposing
10 ways to dispose of a dead body if you really need to
How long for someone to be missing to inherit
Can you throw away body parts
How long does DNA last
There's even more, but she's going so fast I can't keep up!
Searches on the internet started before the reported 6am sighting. At 5am he searched on his son's ipad things like how clean blood out of wood flooring. How long DNA lasts. Can someone be charged with murder without a body. How to dismember a body.
Towels, rags, slippers, tape, tyvek suit, hunter books, prada purse, covid 19 vaccine card in Ana's names... some of the items found, with some blood on them.
