Vlad Pokrovski spotted a parking space in a drainage ditch in Saratov, S.W. Russia. He left his Lada in plenty of free space, while other drivers jostled for an inch on the bank above.

After an overnight thaw and sudden refreeze, Vlad found out why none of the other drivers had parked there. A mechanic has told him it's a total waste of time to try and defrost and repair the ice-entombed vehicle.

Whoopsie!

Poor guy. It seems to me he probably should have known better, but I can't help feeling sorry for him.

Wonder if Putin's car insurance plan will cover this situation?! I feel bad for the guy.
