#SieversTrial - As with every witness, Mark Sievers is almost constantly writing. https://lawandcrime.com/live-trials/live-trials-current/mark-sievers/watch-live-mark-sievers-on-trial-for-allegedly-orchestrating-murder-of-wife-dr-teresa-sievers/ …

LOL, and the bailiff is sleeping...

And for MS the pleasure would be enhanced by the fact that TS would have no idea what he was planning. Every argument, disagreement, rebuff, putdown, etc., added to that pleasure. My sense thus far is that for CWW this was more of a straight-ahead business proposition, combined with a favour to his BFAM.

Interesting that "the reason" in these cases ostensibly involves the kids. Dan Markel, Kelsey Berreth, the Watts family, TS -- for the sake of form it has to be a child's life in peril, and not the selfish desires and interests of the murderer(s). Because then it's for the greater good, moral qualms (if any) can be abated. Not murder, after all, but a form of self-defence.

I appreciate you pointing the bbm part out to drive home the fact Mark probably delighted in his plans. It helps me understand how Mark could look right at Teresa for weeks and weeks knowing she was going to die and not stop the plan. Married people argue sometimes and feel resentment, but now Mark could snicker knowing what was coming. He's a worm of a man, IMO.

Is it bugging anyone else how CWW is so helpful to the attorney... "have they seen pics yet?" in describing kitchen. My stomach has just been churning all day. I want Mark Guilty so bad but CWW just ..... TOO helpful might be hurting .
I find him annoying and sickening. I believe that he is telling the truth, though. He has no motive to kill her unless he was doing it for Mark.

...Absolutely horrible that this happened to such a beautiful healer, Dr. Teresa Sievers. Make no mistake about it, Jurors, Mark Sievers has Teresa's blood on his hands. Ultimately, it is all Mark's doing.
I have often wondered what Teresa saw in Mark. Teresa was so far above Mark's level. I just don't understand why she settled for him. Sadly, it led to her death.

Am I the only one that thinks the lineup of witnesses are weird? Don't prosecutors normally introduce people who knew the victim and the circumstances of their life before the techno/crime talk?.
Reporters have mentioned the different line up as well... I wasn't expecting CWW to be on today at all

It seems like an unusual order of witnesses to have a crucial witness such as CWW testify so early about how he was hired by Mark Sievers to kill his wife. JMO, I think they needed to grab the jurors attention fast before the jurors got lost or bored in the building up of the case and evidence. They needed CWW to make an impact early is my thinking. MOO, Defense is going to make this tedious by confusing the jury with objections, sidebars, and rapid-fire questioning.

Mark Sievers Livestream Trial Thread - Day 1

11/21/19 Day 2: Judge on the bench. First order of business will be to have the jurors look through their notepads and see if they *also* have notes from another juror in another trial. One juror raised their hand. Judge got rid of those notes and gave them a new pad. State witnesses: Kevin Stout, of the Lee County Sheriff's Office (a network administrator with the sheriff's office in the digital forensic unit; used Cellbrite software), subject to recall. Jennifer Kircikyan, Digital forensics specialist at LCSO, subject to recall. After lunch State witness: Curtis Wayne Wright, confessed killer. Judge calls a sidebar that includes Wright's attorney before CWW testified. Cross examination tomorrow for CWW (was on the stand for about 3 hours). After the jury left Judge Bruce Kyle said one of the jurors (I think the same alternate that had the notepad issue yesterday) was having trouble staying awake & he asked both sides to keep an eye on him as well in case there needs to be further action. Trial continues on 11/22.
*Jimmy Ray Rodgers (28) – Trial 10/23/19: Jury found Rodgers guilty of second degree murder, not guilty of conspiracy, guilty of trespassing. Sentencing on 12/12. Motion for new trial-denied.
*Curtis Wayne Wright, Jr. (41) arrested (10/14/15) & charged (10/20/15) & indicted (5/5/16) with 2nd degree premeditated murder. Plead not guilty. No bond. Took plea deal (2/26/16) plead guilty to 2nd degree murder; serving 25 years, waives all rights to appeal. Will testify at trials. Sentencing on 12/2.

Hi Everyone

Looks like I missed day 1 of the trial.

Looking forward to following this at last.

Actually today is day 3. Our moderator has just been really busy and wasn't able to start a day 2 thread. Not sure we'll get a day 3 one either if she's still busy. I'll ask her to just change the title of the thread to reflect the actual days :).
