Yeah, probably because you are in EU.
I found a few articles with the plea date of July 22. This article mentions it as an "open plea":

Accused murderer of 10-year-old girl to change plea

Assistant Attorney General Don Macomber said Monday in an email that Julio Carrillo is scheduled to change his plea on Monday, July 22.

Since you mentioned "open plea" had to look it up!

Open plea is a plea agreement where the determination of sentencing is left to the trial court's discretion. Usually, plea bargains are struck before making a guilty plea. In an open plea, defendant pleads guilty without an agreement regarding punishment.

Yes, an 'open plea' is unusual. Generally, there is a 'plea bargain'.

I knew this would happen - no link yet as it is a developing story, but will post as soon as I find one:
We spoke with the lawyer for Sharon Carrillo, woman accused of killing 10-year-old daughter, Marissa Kennedy. He wants charges against her dropped. News comes one day after lawyer for her husband, Julio Carrillo says his client will plead guilty to murder. Hear more from him tonight on WABI TV5.

ETA: link to a different source stating the same thing. Attorney: Mother to seek dismissal of murder charge in death of 10-year-old Marissa Kennedy

No way should she get off Scott free because her husband pleaded guilty. It doesn't mean she shouldn't be held accountable for what happened to her daughter, whether it be accessory to murder or manslaughter.

Thanks for the up dates on this and no Mommy should not get off scott free.

Okay - got this article today - and it has a different date for Julio's plea hearing:

https://www.penbaypilot.com/article...pdaughter-says-maine-attorney-general-/121585

He is expected to change his plea in Waldo County Unified Court Monday, July 29, at 1 p.m.

Forgive me @SeesSeas - not going back to read thread, but can you access Maine court site? To see if it's really July 29th or the 22nd?

TIA! :) Happy Sunday!
No access to Maine court cases online.

PenBayPilot.com seems to be the only news article that has July 29:
https://www.penbaypilot.com/article...pdaughter-says-maine-attorney-general-/121585

Many news articles have July 22:
https://www.google.com/search?ei=TFo0XcbJE7LU5gKmpYzICA&q="julio+carrillo"+"july+22"&oq="julio+carrillo"+"july+22"&gs_l=psy-ab.3..33i299l2.41676.42683..42900...0.0..0.76.139.2......0....1..gws-wiz.........12:0j13:0.LCvpDqOCDRw&ved=0ahUKEwjGn9y2gcbjAhUyqlkKHaYSA4kQ4dUDCAo&uact=5

I don't know if this JULY 2019 schedule includes Waldo County Unified Court, but it has WALDO SC/DC (Superior Court/District Court):

^^
July 22 - PA & PH [1:00] (presume PA is Plea Agreement and PH is Plea Hearing)

A local newscaster tweeted the JC proceedings. He officially entered his guilty plea. I stopped reading because of some of the details about the abuse inflicted on Marissa by both he and SC. I'll post a link as soon as it is available, just be warned it may be graphic.
Sentencing will be 08/28.

Who in the heck has seven cell phones??!!

Sharon Carrillo’s attorneys demand prosecutors return 7 cellphones found in condo where her daughter was killed

Attorneys for Sharon Carrillo, who is accused of helping to beat her 10-year-old daughter to death in 2018, are demanding that prosecutors return seven cellphones they believe could help exonerate their client.
[.....]
“We gave [prosecutors] the phones and asked them to search them. They said no. We asked for them to be given back. They said no. We are being forced to file a motion. It does feel unusual,” Laura Shaw of Camden Law said Tuesday. “Usually, the state does everything it can to search things. It’s very rare for the state to have evidence before it and claim it doesn’t have probable cause to search.”
[.....]
The phones could be significant to her case, Shaw said, adding that she and MacLean believe they likely contain evidence that would be favorable to their client, although they do not know that for sure.

“We didn’t even look at them. We immediately turned them over to the state, thinking they contained important evidence,” she said.
[.....]
On Tuesday, prosecutors had not yet filed a response to the motion for return of property and had no comment on the matter. Justice Robert Murray will decide whether or not to return the seven cellphones to Sharon Carrillo’s attorneys.

https://www.penbaypilot.com/article...ng-sharon-participated-daughter-s-abus/122771

BELFAST — Lawyers for Sharon Carrillo filed two motions with the court July 31, a Motion in Limine and a Motion for Return of Property.

The Motion In Limine requests the State turn over any “documents, photographs, writings, videos, audios, or other materials in any form that show, establish, or suggest that Sharon Carrillo participated in [the] physical abuse of Marissa Kennedy.”
[.....]
There is reportedly photographic evidence that Sharon was also subjected to abuse alongside her daughter.

According to the Motion, which was filed by Christopher K. MacLean, of Camden Law, he is specifically seeking recordings of an off the record conference of counsel held in chambers May 3, during which Julio Carrillo reportedly stated he was in possession of evidence proving Sharon’s culpability in the abuse.

When lawyers for Julio Carrillo were asked whether they were in possession of such materials, they reportedly said they were not.
[.....]
An order was issued by Justice Robert Murray Aug. 7, ordering that the State file it’s written memoranda in opposition to either or both motions no later than Aug. 23. The order further states that if the State does not oppose either motion, they must indicate so to the Court in writing by Aug. 23.

Sharon Carrillo is set to go on trial Thursday, Dec. 5, with the trial estimated to last through the following Friday, Dec. 13. Jury selection is scheduled to take place Dec. 4.

If anyone sees a next court date - please post! :)

State wants Julio Carrillo to serve life in prison for murder of Marissa Kennedy

BELFAST, Maine — State prosecutors are asking the court to sentence Julio Carrillo to life in prison for the murder of his 10-year-old stepdaughter, Marissa Kennedy, describing her beating death as torture that deeply affected the wider community.

But Carrillo’s attorney has a slightly different sentence in mind for his 52-year-old client, who pleaded guilty last month to the charge of depraved indifference murder. In a memo submitted Wednesday, Carrillo’s attorney Darrick X. Banda asked the state for a sentence of 35 to 40 years in prison, saying that his client admitted responsibility, waived his right to a trial and pleaded guilty without making plea deal.
[.....]
Sentencing is scheduled for next week with Justice Robert Murray presiding.

That would be on 8/28.
