Just to give everyone from away an idea of the terrain (and remoteness) searchers are facing as they search for Fr Clements, this is an unrelated, short video of the aftermath of a tornado that recently hit about 40 miles NW of Lee, ME.

So upsetting seeing this and thinking that if Father Clement has dementia and run out of fuel in his car. He wouldn't know which way to walk, wouldn't know his way back to the car and most alarmingly dementia suffers don't see the difference between night and day.

my heart goes out to the family xx

Just a quick prayer that Father Thibodeau comes home today.

Lord Jesus, we trust you in a matters. Your good servant, Father Thibodeau, needs to come home to the many that love him. Dear Lord, please use your hand to guide the searchers to Father Thibodeau today. We humbly ask for your intersession, and help. Glory be to God, Amen!

Article on recent search efforts/area from today's Bangor Daily News:
http://bangordailynews.com/2017/08/...ch-continues-for-priest-missing-from-caribou/
The Rev. Clement Thibodeau, 86, last was seen leaving his apartment in Caribou on July 15. Cellphone tracking indicates that Thibodeau drove south from the Caribou area to Springfield on July 15, and then headed deep into the woods on a dirt road south of the Lee area until July 18, when his phone shut off.
The current area of focus is an area near Sysladobsis and Upper Chain lakes, according to DEEMI Operations Director Richard Bowie.

Gosh I thought this good servant would have been found by now.
Some random thoughts that might trigger a new search idea:

Favorite fishing hole?
Meditation spot?
Burial spot of relatives
Favorite hideaway spot as a child
A special shrine or religious retreat destination

My instinct tells me he isn't far from where he left, and has missed during a search.

You bring up some good suggestions. I think investigators have asked people in the areas where his last ping was to check their properties, especially the back 40.

I *think* I know what you mean, but actually he's a Roman Catholic priest, which rather preludes the phrase BBM.

Most recent article I could find: http://www.wagmtv.com/content/news/Search-broadens-for-missing-priest-442806783.html
From the article (BBM):
“If the distancing is correct than he had to be in the Pistol Lakes region. Which we just absolutely saturated with aircraft, vehicles, and we’re hitting every little snow mobile trail, everything with vehicles to make sure he’s not sitting somewhere. But the reason we’re expanding the search area is because we found out he had a full tank of gas.”

Authorities believe they have found missing man's body: http://www.wabi.tv/content/news/Gam...Have-Found-Missing-Caribou-Man-448840313.html

SPRINGFIELD, Maine (WABI) Maine Game Wardens say they believe they have found the body of a missing Caribou man.

Pastor Clement Thibodeau went missing in July.

Today a man clearing trails near Upper Pistol Lake located Thibodeau’s car stuck near an unpaved road.

Game Wardens then found a body near the car.

The remains were sent to the Medical Examiner’s office to be identified, but Wardens believe it is Thibodeau.

I kinda had a feeling this was how it was going to play out. RIP Father Thibodeau.

That's over three hours from Caribou! I wonder who he knew in that area, why he was going there?
God Bless Father Thibodeau and his family. Prayers to all.

So sad but expected outcome. At least it seems he has been found and can be returned to his family. R.I.P Father xx

~~~
How very, very sad.
So many people he has helped,
guided and supported in his devotion.
Then he died out there all alone.
:( :( :(
