Let me get this straight. There were two intruders, one was male and the other female and it wasnt the parents. Can this get any more insane. GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!! For crying out loud!

There is no way they can "know" that one intruder is male and one is female unless they KNOW who they are? Nor can they KNOW there is a killer and (the person that person confided in" unless they KNOW who they are.
Otherwise, it could just as easily have been 1, 2, 3, 4, or 10 people.

Of course, WE can say there are 2 because we know who they are....

...If intruder was able to slip in and out of the Rs house - if there was one, he/she did not go thru the train room; no, and would have come in through some entrance somewhere. Even if it was a window, now that they are in, they can just leave out a door. And they would have known they did not have to worry about setting off an alarm, because they made it in successfully undetected. So why leave the victim in the house?

They also had to know where the Wine Cellar room was, and even to lock it with the wooden block thing.

Again, I think they would have done like in the above case - snatch the girl at an opportune time, leave the RN on her bed, or in an easily visible place, if at all, get to a controlled secret environment, then make the phone call....

I think they put that story out because the ransom note read like a female wrote it, with the feminine phrases, etc., and that Patsy was being accused of writing it. I think they had to use that theory to explain why it seemed that way....written like a man and woman wrote it - there are harsh words and feminine instructions...but that might be true anyway - that both a male and female wrote it, just like they did when they admitted they wrote things together. The RN does read like that: you can probably pick out which sentences were written by PR and which ones by JR....

btw, somehow the JB case reminds me of this movie/story.....the blonde beauty queen molested and killed by her father,small town,rich family,pretty inexperienced cops,the mother always in denial
