Well, I am buying this new story just about as much as I bought the sex story made up by the prosecutor. jmo

Well, since the prosecutors did not have to PROVE a motive, and for appeal the accused will have to PROVE this 'story' as fact (which it is not)... it will make no difference on appeal. Never was evidence of this being true and never will be. Produce the keys and the knife and nobody would have to 'buy'
anything... case solved right?

But:
There was a sexual assault.
She was pricked/poked and had over 40 various wounds.
Maybe some sort of game/prank was involved. Hard to figure murderers.

Might not be such a 'far out' theory in the end. Still doesn't distract from the MULTIPLE lies told by the accused... and the fact that phone records show they were not where they said they were.

just randomly I want to say this case really bothers me. I dont feel satisfied at the conviction. I would not have felt satisfied without one either. too much seems wrong.

I feel that AK and RS should not have been convicted. there, I finally said it.

that doesnt mean I feel sure they werent involved. I just feel it's better to occasionally let a murderer walk than to keep innocents in prison...too much just never made sense to me and it's compounded by the fact that we have to deal with only what's been released and translations of that, at that. so I can only go on what I know. which still seems wrong.

1. yes the lying behaviours are extremely suspicious but

2. I could never get over the fact that AK and RS only dated 2 weeks prior to the murder. try as I can, I just dont see two people who didnt know each other all that well systematically torturing and killing together.

if they'd been together a few years I could imagine it a la ian brady/myra hindley but I just dont see it happening at the two week mark....let alone with RG that all barely knew or not at all.

Slight differences with this case:

Amanda was not taken down by the media, in fact western media has tried to show the case as weak... which it is not.

Amanda put HERSELF at the crime scene in at least two instances.

Amanda also put an INNOCENT man in the mix by claiming he was at the crime scene too... much more similar to your point is the accusation of Patrick.

There is much evidence of AK being there during the crime including her dna mixed with MK's in the bathroom and Filomena's room, footprints brought out by luminol in the hallway, some dna (according to RS's specialist) on the bra clasp.

Also someone had to of staged the break in and done the cleanup...:waitasec: . Who would have a reason to do so?

And there is LOTS of controversy regarding the DNA and the footprints.

I hope these allegations are thoroughly investigated this time and not just ignored or swept under the proverbial rug because the prosecutors believe they have their killer(s). It may turn out to be nothing in the end, but it still needs to be taken seriously and investigated with veracity.

You know, regardless of whether Knox etc are guilty or not, I have to say that this severely disturbs me. In any American courtroom, such behavior as this in a forensics lab would get all of their evidence tossed, or at the least a moderately good defense attorney would be able to use it (along with the prosecutors strange and obsessive behavior) to taint the state's entire case in the minds of the Jury. I'm sorry, but this (along with said prosecutor keeping his job after being convicted of abuse of power) makes the allegations of Italy's court system being a joke gain a certain amount of legitimacy in my mind. All JMO etc.

Enjoy your 26 years behind bars Amanda, God knows I would not want you back on American soil, where you could kill and kill again. (or just stand by stupidly while someone else is being killed).

The two, looking to steal paintings, ended up in Kercher's house where the British student found them and began screaming. Antonio Aviello tried blocking her and then stabbed her.

Aviello and the Albanian man would have then found Ivorian Rudy Guede in the bathroom of the house and intimidated him into silence.

Paintings???...at a student's rented house???...sure, that makes sense. I always had great works of art hanging on my walls when I was a student.

Will Knox's Parents Go to Jail?

If Perugia police get their way, Amanda Knox's mom and dad will soon spend years in an Italian prison themselves for defamation. Barbie Latza Nadeau on the strange new criminal charges.

Cards and letters are already arriving in the prison post for Seattle student Amanda Knox, who turns 23 on Friday, July 9. It will be her third birthday in Capanne prison outside Perugia, Italy, where she is serving 26 years for the November 2007 sexual assault and murder of her British roommate Meredith Kercher.

Knox’s mother Edda Mellas is planning to visit her daughter to celebrate, but not before she makes her own court appearance earlier in the week. Mellas, Knox and Knox’s biological father Curt face defamation charges lodged by twelve Perugia police officers for accusations that the cops abused the Seattle student. If Amanda is convicted of defamation, an additional six years could be tacked onto her sentence. Her parents face heavy fines and up to three years in prison if they are convicted.

There is no way I would travel to Italy with charges like this pending.

Can they be forced to travel to Italy?

Don't want to offend anyone, but those are my thoughts exactly. This is a comic-opera country. I would love to visit and see all it has to offer but always in the back of my mind would be the thought of what if something happened that put me in police custody? I sell things on Ebay and will not ship there if I can help it, the post office is full of thieves.
Think I'll watch travel videos and see Italy that way.

That's so interesting you say that. The few times I've shipped art there it *disappeared*. Yeah, I won't sell there any longer.
