''The bags found at a forest overlook contained remains of men and women, the state prosecutor's office in the western state of Jalisco said in a statement Wednesday night. Firefighters and civil defense worked with a helicopter to recover remains from the gorge and planned to continue during the coming days.

Authorities had been looking for seven young people who had been reported missing last week when they found the site, but it was still unknown if they were among the remains found. The state prosecutor’s office said it investigated the site after receiving a report of possible body parts there.''

Just omg not much else I can say. So many murders lately

''American, 23, among seven workers kidnapped from two Mexican 'cartel-linked' call centers that reportedly targeted seniors in the United States and Canada by fraudulently selling or renting their time shares

  • Carlos Valladolid, of Arizona, and his sister, Itzel Valladolid, are two of seven workers who have been reported missing in Jalisco, Mexico
  • The workers were kidnapped between May 20 and May 26 after going to work at two call centers in the Jalisco municipality of Zapopan
  • The call centers are said to be among 19 which reportedly sold fraudulent time shares to retirees in the United States''
''An American man is among seven workers who were kidnapped from two illegal call centers within a span of seven days in the western Mexico state of Jalisco.

Arizona native Carlos Valladolid, 23, and his sister, Itzel Valladolid, 27, were reported missing by their mother, Elizabeth Hernández, after they failed to return home from their job in the municipality of Zapopan on May 22.

Their coworker, Jorge Moreno, 28, also did not return home the same day.''

''The FBI revealed in March that the criminal group had scammed about 600 individuals out of $39.6 million through fraudulently selling or renting their time shares in 2022.

The seven workers had been employed by the call center for two or three months, according to Jalisco State Attorney General, Luis Méndez.''

Tragically, similar cartel-directed mass abductions and murders of innocent Mexicans have happened before.
Mexican police discover at least 15 dismembered bodies near Guadalajara is just one example, fron 10 years ago.

They are not gang members, it's too much trouble to kidnap rival gang members, so innocent people are kidnapped and killed.

IMO, it's a form of terrorism. The victims are just the pawns in disputes between rival cartels, or, in some cases, between business partners who are in a power struggle. Or it could even be, some victims were suspected of being in league with the FBI, or it's just to warn other staff not to cooperate with FBI.

The bosses are utterly ruthless and have staff who will carry out their orders. It's a real life Game of Thrones.

this is just stunning. This isn't some lone psychotic person cutting up a victim. This is organized crime, professional killers killing innocent people and cutting them up. Degeneracy is reaching new levels every day.

Testing is expected to show whether the remains — which authorities said are both male and female — are those of the employees.

The head of Mexico’s Ministry of Security told reporters that a preliminary investigation indicates that the workers were involved in “some type of fraud” and telephone extortion. But the sister of one of the workers said that her brother was selling vacation packages at the call center, Spain’s El Pais newspaper reported.
