FLINT, Mich - Michigan State Police are searching for 2-year-old Ameila Mea-Ann Jones. The child was last seen in the area of Winchester Street in Monroe, Michigan.

Michigan State Police say 38th Circuit Court issued a court order to take Amelia into protective custody and have not been able to locate her.

Investigators say the Michigan Department of Public Safety Child and Protective Service investigation showed that Amelia is currently in danger and is being actively hidden from MDHHS and Law Enforcement.

State Police say Amelia is believed to be with her 18-year-old mother Braghen Bolles-White and her 48-year-old grandmother Heather Bolles-Ery.

What a sad little face. I hope she is safe.

I hope Ohio authorities have been contacted and are on alert for the vehicle, mother, and toddler. Monroe is @20 miles from the Michigan/Ohio border. Mother may think that the search wouldn't be so intense if she left Michigan.

One would think that a child with his/her mother is safe, but there must be a reason that MDHHS is looking for this little one. I hope they are located soon, and that the child is safe.

Amelia was found at a hotel in Bowling Green, OH with her grandmother. Her mother wasn't with them.

A missing toddler from Michigan was located in Bowling Green Monday evening, according to BGPD Lt. Adam Skaff.

Staff at a local hotel reportedly received a phone call from the Monroe, Michigan, police department about the missing 2-year-old girl. Local and state authorities had issued an Endangered and Missing Advisory for the toddler, who was believed to be purposely hidden from officials by her mother and grandmother.

The hotel staff looked up news articles and recognized the girl in the photos as a guest at the hotel. The staff then called Bowling Green Police Division around 9 p.m.

Officers located the Michigan vehicle in the parking lot, and went to the room and found the grandmother and little girl, Skaff said.

The toddler was picked up by Monroe County Children’s Services. The grandmother, Heather Bolles-Ery, 48, had an active warrant out of Michigan. The mother had not been seen by staff at the hotel, Skaff said.

Monroe County’s 38th Circuit Court had issued an order last Thursday for officials to take the toddler into protective custody. Child Protective Services investigated and reported that Amelia was missing.
