GUILTY MI - Carnel Chamberlain, 4, Mount Pleasant, 21 June 2012 #2

Well southernnana, it kind of sounds like Bennett hurt someone. Not sure if he was injured or not.

At least we know via his egg donor, that a true bill for murder is forthcoming (least that's what I want to see happen).

I understand the 1st four charges, is the 5th one
malicious destruction of a building over 200 but less than 1000
?

The state of Carmels body still troubles me greatly.. I've had nightmares about finding that poor baby in that state.

Stopped up a toilet, broke a water pipe, pulled a sink off a wall, etc.
He intentionally destroyed something that cost over $200, but less than $1,000 to fix.

Why should we be surprised if he attempts to dismantle his prison cell and assault prison employees and guards ... after all, he has already tortured, mutilated, and burned beyond recognition an innocent little 4-yr old child.

He sure isn't helping his case any! I hope none of the guards were harmed by his extreme temper tantrums.

I hope the guards turn a blind eye whilst someone pays him a visit in his cell..

I would like to know what the circumstances were.

Has anyone heard if he is in protective custody at the jail? Pretty sure other inmates would love to show him what their opinion of him is.

If true, I wonder what Jaime is in treatment for?

Somehow, I missed this sad case while I was engrossed in the Mickey Shunick case. I am so sad for Carnel.
I am a recovering addict. I have been clean since January 21, 2007: The day I found out I was 4 weeks pregnant with my son who just turned 5. I can relate to Jaimee in a lot of ways but I made very, very different choices than she did. At some point, she needs to stop blaming and accept responsibility and hold herself accountable for her failure to protect her son. No, she didn't murder him but she didn't protect him, either. I have no doubt that she is heartbroken and never expected her son to be murdered... But she allowed him to be abused. Nothing justifies that in my eyes. I did make my son my priority and the reason I say no. I want to type so many things but I am going play with my boys. (I also have another son who is almost 2). I am teaching them to be men by giving them a fabulous role model in their father and teaching them love, compassion, and respect without fear.
I do consider Carnel the only victim here and I will be waiting to see charges brought to those responsible for his murder and abuse. I am staring at my son now and I cannot imagine allowing anyone to lay a hand on my son the way Anthony Bennett did Carnel. It would be through my dead body.

Justice is waiting, Carnel. I hope that it is done for you, grasshopper. Enjoy the moon.

Right on, GulfCoastKAT. You sound like a fantastic mom. xo

Jaimee was overheard telling some family members that she did not pass
the first 5 polygraph tests. Said she kept lying about where she was and
the timeline. Said she was not at work when this all happened, was only
a few houses a way. Her brother had been saying this is where she had
been spending her time partying. Bennett thought she was at work.

I think it is safe to say the above rumor has already been debunked via information released via MSM.

Also, I think it is pretty safe to say a work alibi, especially one in a restaurant or casino, can be solidly verified by not only eye witnesses, but also survelliance video.

I have no reason to believe LE was unable to verify Jaimee's alibi for the evening Carnel was reported missing. Assuming the restaurant and casino have at least 100 patrons on a daily basis, it is probably many more, I am sure the work alibi is pretty solid with LE having spoken with both employee's, supervisors, managers, as well as customers.

The following MSM links verify what has been released publicly regarding Jaimee's alibi.

The last time Jaimee Chamberlain saw her son, Carnel Chamberlain, he was inside their home on East Tomah Road watching cartoons about 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 21.

When she returned from work waiting tables at a nearby restaurant about 9:30 p.m., Carnel was gone.

Jaimee Chamberlain worked a 3:30 to 9:30 p.m. shift at Isabella’s restaurant at the Soaring Eagle Casino, and learned from her boyfriend Anthony M. Bennett that her son was missing upon returning to her Tomah Road home.

Are Obstruction of Justice Charges in Tribal Courts the same as in criminal court?

The two charges you refer to are governed vary in definition by the laws of each state and cover a broad number of prohibited actions. The terms may be used interchangeably.

A person who intentionally obstructs, impairs, impedes, hinders, prevents, or perverts the administration of law or other governmental function is guilty of Obstruction of Government Function. Obstruction of Justice has been defined as any interference of the administration and due process of law. It may occur during an investigation, as well as during a trial, and involve intereference with the work of police officers, investigators, or government agencies. Interfering with the a court trial, such as by threatening a juror or witness, may be an obstruction of justice.

Jaimee is a witness in the criminal charges of assault filed against Anthony Bennett. She may not be considered a victim per WS tos, but she is a witness in an upcoming trial.

IANAL. I wonder if <modsnip> anyone else can comment about the laws of obstruction of justice within tribal law.

for emphasis

Bumping for clarity regarding how WS views Jaimee Chamberlain. Even the family spokesman voiced their regret that it was unfortunate that Jaimee did not take action.

It is what it is, unfortunately. Just because someone is not yet charged with a crime does not mean it didn't happen. (e.g., neglect, endangerment) That is a choice the State Prosecutor makes. Often crimes happen that go uncharged.

Mod note:

Following up here. :)

2 players are sleuthable at this time -

the perp, Anthony Bennett, and

the bio mom, Jaimee Chamberlain.

A word regarding WS "victim-friendly" policy -

We often see this misinterpreted. Understandable, the "rules" can get a bit confusing so I'm going to take this opportunity to try to add a little clarity. As most of you who have posted here for any length of time at all realize by now that there are no black & white, across the board rules, 'one size fits all' of what we permit or who is considered a "victim" in each case. Cases differ on nearly every level - we have to consider the circumstances of each one separately and decide accordingly. Websleuths, first and foremost, is victim-friendly toward the actual victim - in this case, Carnel Chamberlain.

Jaimee has admitted that she was aware of the abuse of Carnel by AB, however she chose to never report it, she obviously (at the very least) minimized the danger and showed a complete lack of responsibility by allowing AB to still keep Carnel when she was not there to protect him. Whether she regrets it now is another matter. And, in the eyes of WS, it really doesn't matter whether she regrets it or not. The fact remains that she is culpable on some level for not protecting Carnel when he was in her care. Therefore, she is sleuthable.

Let’s take a look at the sources of the verified publically released information by MSM. Common sense tells us what information LE gathered concerning Jaimee’s activities that day and evening is not something they are obligated to share with the public … not anytime in the near future, not ever.

The source of news in this MSM link is the mother herself being interviewed by phone on Nancy Grace.

During the phone interview, Jaimee blindsided most of the viewers as well as Nancy Grace by admitting in her own words her personal knowledge of detailed horrifying torturing acts and abusive treatment she knowingly subjected her son to while he was in the presence of she and her live-in boyfriend over the last few weeks before his death. No one came to his rescue. It was said that his mother did not even allow him to speak on the phone with his grandmother Joann.

Carnel Chamberlain's mother speaks on CNN, recounts suspicious events after returning home to find son missing

"When she returned from work waiting tables at a nearby restaurant about 9:30 p.m., Carnel was gone. "He (Anthony Bennett) pretty much told me he's gone,"Jaimee Chamberlain told Nancy Grace during a phone interview on CNN's "NewsHour With Nancy Grace" tonight.

Jaimee Chamberlain, when you walked in the door that evening from work at Isabel`s (ph) restaurant, what was Anthony Bennett, your boyfriend, doing? When you walked in the door, where was he?

CHAMBERLAIN: He was walking to me. As soon as I opened the door, he was, like, walking out to me.

This next source is an interview with the family spokeperson and counsin of Jaimee’s. Here again, logic and common sense tells us that a family spokesperson is going to be biased and would not reveal information publically that could negate an alibi concerning a family member that he represents.

“We have a boyfriend who was with the child, a boyfriend who lost the child under his care,” <snipped>” said Kevin.

Stop the back & forth bickering now. TO's forthcoming. I'm done with this.

I have removed some posts so if this warning seems out of context, that is why. My post falls at random.

Also, yahoo contributors are not considered MSM by any means. "You too can be a contributor". I am removing the link. Please don't cite it again.

My apologies, beach. I think there has been a big misunderstanding here which I was trying to clarify. I did not mean any harm.

Hopefully things will become more clear with the direction LE is taking this case once the assault trial happens. In the mean time, I will continue praying Carnel receives the justice he deserves. :blowkiss:

Peace,

Cubby
