Charles Raymond Gauthier
Case Classification: Endangered Missing
Missing Since: March 27, 2001
Location Last Seen: Richmond Township, Marquette County, Michigan
Gauthier went missing from Richmond Township, Michigan on March 27, 2001. He was a resident at the Richmond Residential Care Facility and wandered away sometime between 4:00 and 7:00 a.m. and never returned. He was suffering from dementia at the time and did not have his medication.
Gauthier was last seen walking along M-35 near the Empire Iron Mine after he left the residential facility. Authorities believe he may have been picked up by a passing motorist as shoe prints were discovered in the snow by the road and ended next to a set of fresh tire tracks. Despite extensive searches conducted with the aid of K-9 units, the coast guard, ATV vehicles, and aerial assistance, Gauthier has never been located.
