Based on where DS' apartment is, I would guess she uses the boxes by the leasing office which would be a short walk from where she was parked. If you walk at a normal pace, five minutes max.

Okay that makes sense. She could have locked her purse in the car and started to walk to grab her mail before going into her apt. She probably didn't want to carry her purse with her to the mailbox. If the mailbox key was on the smiley ring that would make sense why there could be confusion about the keys vs just the charm

I think she jumped out of her car took her phone and her keys and went with someone intending to be right back.

I think she knew the security guard and his place was searched because he was
The last one seen with her in the parking lot. I don t think he harmed her but someone else did. Jmo

It is only a key chain. If it were not for this case I would have never known this keychain came free with the smoke buddy filter cylinder. It is not paraphernailia...only a key chain.

Okay here is where I read there were two keys :
It was in this MSM report I read there were two keys. This was early on ( Dec 7 ) so maybe later reports are reflecting accountability of keys but no smiley charm ? I have no clue.


Anyone who may have seen or found a Samsung Galaxy Core Prime cell phone in a rose colored case and key chain with a charm and two keys.

I do believe they had video of her the day she went missing. The detail of what she was wearing was far to detailed to not have some sort of photo/video. I believe they have found her keys but not the keychain. They only show the smoke buddy keychain and mention nothing of the keys or all the customer rewards cards she had on it ( as shown in her IG photo). The LE was gathering evidence from the Berkeley home one week after she disappeared. Tips , footage, evidence in her car led them to that POI. There was enough to receive a search warrant....was not a wild goose chase. Why things have stalled or seems to have stalled. Perhaps he is talking, maybe they are questioning all of the POI contacts , which could be why POI took down his fb page since it reads like an address book for a couple of weeks. I do wish someone from ML would just post yes or no...that POI that we know of was in fact an employee there at one time.

And though it sounds plausible and I completely agree it's a key charm they are trying to recover, one which may have become that "token" to the perpetrator, it does not seem plausible to me that a former security guard employed at Metlife and familiar with their video security system would let himself be caught on tape. This is so frustrating. I can't fathom her families frustration and sadness.

I agree. Something or someone pointed them in his direction. Who or what that was is being kept quiet at this point. It was in LE terms very quick from when she disappeared to have a search warrant on a residence where there was no personal connection that we know of to that person. If it was POI that abducted her I would find it difficult to believe he would do it in the parking lot of his place of employment. It just doesn't make sense knowing he has knowledge of cameras and his face is known there.

By no means have we ruled out your sanity, or lack of. Nor has there been a determination that it is only the key charm missing. But in two different instances it was spoken by Nebus that they were searching for a key charm. I support the "token" theory. But who? Why?

Besides busy delay while LE continues their investigation, what purpose does the social media blitz by family serve? The perp (or POI) isn't going to parade Danielle around in public for someone to recognize her based on a Facebook photo. The perp is also not likely to give Danielle the opportunity to scream or call out for help where folks are likely to see or hear her. Sorry, but I just don't see the point to the continued sharing on social media.

Hopefully, surveillance video at MetLife and/or along Danielle's route home (or wherever she might have driven), along with evidence taken from the Berkley home, will bring a resolution to this case in due time.

I'm really thankful we have mods. Sometimes the things I read in these threads just makes me shake my head in disbelief.

Now, what can we do here in WS to help find Dani that we haven't already thought of?

I was wondering that too...I was wondering if they put up posters in Detroit where DS has said to possibly been seen. They probably already have...there's still some posters over by the ice arena in Berkeley but not many.

I'm not sure at this point if they have all the keys accounted for and its just the charm.

Thinking about our trips to the mailbox we have a primary key ring with several silver circle rings attached. On those rings are things like shopper cards , a gate key , and the mailbox key. The mailbox key on my husbands ring detaches so he can leave the car running while he grabs the mail . This would mean just one key and detachable ring would be missing from his ring .


Not sure of her mail retrieval schedule but she may have wanted to grab her mail before headed off to an over night plan. It was Dec 2. Maybe she was looking for early Christmas cards or a letter from her out of state interest ? I'm sure LE has already looked into the mailbox theory. It just stands out when thinking about that smiley key charm .

I don't think she ever made it to the mailbox if that's where she was headed

I posted yesterday about what I saw in downtown Detroit over the weekend. I was there Sat through early Mon morning. I was in casinos, bars, drove and walked around, at Campus Martius(spelling might be wrong) and at the Lions football game. I didn't see one flyer hanging anywhere. There was an ad on the big screen at the Lions game, but if I remember correctly it was with a bunch of other stuff and it lasted maybe a minute on the screen.

The Lions game was sold out, it appeared that every seat was filled. Lots of green bay packer fans who came from Wisconsin. It was busy no matter where we went all weekend. I didn't think prior to going to take flyers, had I known I would see zero I would have taken them and hung them all over. Now of course I was not everywhere downtown but we covered a lot of it and I was specifically looking for them.
