What an interesting case. I'm surprised it hasn't attracted much attention. What's the exclusion list?

Patricia Ann Schmidt? She’s not on the rule out list.

The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

“Last seen at her residence in the vicinity of the 1800 block of Baylor Road in Richmond, Virginia on June 4, 1985. She left behind her two young children and her personal belongings.”

There is no one in NamUs who fits the details stated by the homeowner, so unless she's not entered on NamUs, the details are not entirely correct.

I did a nationwide search on NamUs, and the first person to show up was a female named Wendy Jamie Abrams-Nishikai from California. She was 21 years old, married, and had a two year old daughter at the time of her disappearance. According to a blogger in 2013, Wendy was listed as "Voluntary Missing" on the California Department of Justice website. I suspect she could have taken a flight on Oct 31, 1989 to Detroit, MI. The postmortem composite of this unidentified looks close enough to Wendy, especially the nose. Their profiles match too, however, Wendy is listed as 4" shorter.

I've submitted these two cases to NamUs, and other agencies.

Would love to see @othram or another genetic genealogy company take on her case.

Dang, that's a close match. She's not excluded on NamUS

Edit: But I don't see how Strawberry blonde hair could be mistaken for black.

In May 1986 a group of 4 (2 couples) departed Toronto on a 16' boat and were never seen again. One of the group was Patricia Heys, 25yo. I find it strange nothing ever surfaced. Although not sure I see a resemblance. Interesting none the less.

Did anyone ever hear back about Patricia Schmidt? I notice she's not listed as an exclusion on Namus.
