Bump for Jodi.
I just searched for any DNA results from the new processing MSP was doing (in December 2012) and nothing has been reported.
Praying for justice and answers for her family.
 
New look at Jodi's murder on local cold case files. There has been more DNA testing using new techniques, results not back yet. LE thinks there may have been 2 people involved, one who knew Jodi. They do have DNA of one person so far.

LE wonders about the location of Jodi's body and bike. Found near a 100 yr old tombstone.

"There is a connection with someone with the last name of Moyer to Jodi," says Criger. The tombstone her bike was propped up against dates back to the 1800s. It has the last name "Moyer" on it.


"It could be a coincidence," says Criger. "It may not be. We are not sure at this point."

As far as suspects? Criger says there are definitely persons of interest. He said they have a good idea of what happened to Jodi and who did it. They just need DNA and more people to come forward with information to prove it.

I find that an interestingly open response from LE. I wonder if her mother has the same person in her sights? Hopefully, the DNA will come back next month which will lead to a domino effect and Jodi's family can finally have some closure.
 
This "Moyer" connection perplexes me. Is this the suspect's last name, and if so, how bold? So, while looking at that angle I did find this- http://www.sickcrimes.us/2010/01/matt-moyer-arrested-for-molesting-a-12-year-old-523. Also googling Moyer and Grafton wv (place this molestation took place) and Constantine, mi, I did come up with a Moyer name. Like I said earlier, I just can't believe someone would leave a clue incriminating themselves.
 
For some reason, Jodi came into my mind a lot yesterday and today (where I work, we recently hired a Jodi, so I think that's what triggered it for me). I still can't believe this case isn't solved. :(
 
Just read through this thread. Poor baby. I can't for the life of me figure out who her mother is-some articles have it as JG and some have it as VC. I think LE being as tight-lipped as they have been and then making the statement about the Moyer name is strange.
 
I wonder if he has a son. I am facebook friends with a friend of Jodi's, and when I put Raymond Emmett McCann into search, it brought up a young man ( teenaged? ) that is friends with MY friend, who is a friend of Jodi's. ( could you follow that ? )...........His name on FB is different, but has " Raymond Emmett McCann " in parenthesis beneath.

WSBT-TV UPDATE: Police Chief Jim Bedell with the Constantine Police Department confirms Raymond McCann was a Constantine Reserve Officer at the time of the girl's death.

Once he became a person of interest, he was immediately suspended, Bedell says. Later, McCann officially resigned.

Bedell says McCann's son was a friend of Jodi's.

Wondering if they have him in custody on perjury, does that allow them to be able to collect DNA from him?
 
It's funny the cases that stay in my mind...I'm glad this one is finally moving forward.

He does. Two of them, actually. Ray McMann is actually a Jr, and he has a son that is Ray McMann III. From what I understand, Jodi was friends with him. His other son's name is Zachary. Zachary has a different last name though (not McMann).

I am so, so happy an arrest has been made in this case! I hope they can figure out exactly what happened and Jodi's family can have some closure and peace.
 
Mc Cann's sister-in -law speaks out: Her daughter was Jodi's best friend. Mc Cann's son was friends with Jodi and MC Cann was on sick leave the day Jodi was murdered.

As for McCanns family, his sister-in-law Julie McCann says she doesn’t believe McCann killed Parrack but after the murder he separated himself from the family which raised questions.

She says she doesn’t how he could hold onto knowing something for so long and just like many in the community is hoping for answers and Justice for Jodi.

At one point investigators asked McCann how it was possible that her DNA could have been found in his pick-up truck and on his clothes. He responded by saying that he pulled Parrick’s mother from the child’s body at the cemetery. Investigators say this was not true. There were also bruises on Parrack’s body consistent with markings from handcuffs.

Specifically, McCann was asked about his actions during late afternoon, early evening of 11/8/07. McCann, under oath, indicated that he and his two children, Raymond McCann III and Zachary Bittner had been to the Dollar General Store in Constantine Michigan on the date in question after the boys returned home from school. It should be noted that this time is in close proximity to the time Jodi Parrack disappeared and was not seen again until her dead body was found in the Constantine Cemetery. I interview both Bittner and McCann III who denied that this trip to the Dollar General ever occurred. They both indicated that after returning home from school on 11/8/07, they (the two boys) never left the residence again.
