This site has done some very thorough sleuthing on CM and PCH as POI.

I think that MP needs to have a separate thread of his own.

    I posted this Feb. 1

The more I think about it, the more I am curious about MP. However I keep coming back to PCH and his phone call, but maybe there is a linkage.

MP leaves Oak Beach with SG in his car early that morning. He has enough street smarts and experience with LE to return to 'look' for SG. Knows his car will not incriminate him from a forensic point of view, as he can easily explain SG's presence in his car.

MP goes through the motion of looking for SG in the morning, meets PCH the ever helpful local. PCH says to MP 'how can I help'.

MP replies to the effect that SG is in rehab, and if PCH would call Mari Gilbert and let her know, MP would appreciate it.

PCH does, and instantly brings focus on himself to MP's benefit.

Remember SG refused to get into to MP's car, and she was running away from him. She felt he was a threat.

    Okay I got more questions.
    1) That morning, why did MP leave, only to return later, where did he go, what did he do?

    2) If your are on foot, and I am in a car with headlights, and I am following you, chances are if you leave the roadway I will know where you did. Pretty hard to runaway from a car, and MP could always follow on foot. But he did not have to if he got her in the car.

    3) MP if he really cared about SG, could have told LE, "this is where I saw her last", "this where I think she ran into the bush" etc. I do not think he helped with the search.

    4) Until otherwise disclosed, he was the last to see SG alive.

    5) PCH and MP can incriminate or exonerate each other by discussing what they said to each other, but neither seems to be talking about the conversation in the morning. PCH may be afraid of MP.

    6) MP may not have anything to do with the other cases, but it was very serendipitous that the other bodies were dumped nearby.

    7) Has anybody checked if MP has any connection with either the LISK or AC victims?

If you have any info about MP I would be interested to see it.

    Thanks WINDSOR

We need some MSM links before we start digging in with this thread. :tyou:

Seems nobody is interested in MP as a POI.

I think it is important to separate SG's death from the LISK for a minute. I for one am not sure they are linked or just coincidence.

In crime-solving, Motive is key and I believe MP had a motive and his actions that night support the motive.

    1) MP has a seamy occupation, driver (pimp?) of prostitutes. He has a criminal record and
and questionable moral values from some people's perspective.

    2) He is in his occupation for money, the money justifies the behaviour.

    3) We cannot assume anything he says is the truth.

    4) JB the client states even though he hired SG he did not pay her. This would be highly unusual as SG and MP are in the business for money (MP was to receive 1/3 of SG's earnings.

    5) There have been suggestions in MSM that JB did pay, and SG did not want to pay MP

    6) Either way MP would be very angry with SG, as he would assume SG got her money and does not want to pay him.

    7) SG does not want to get into the car with MP, she is afraid.

    8) She is scared that MP will hurt her to get the money. (normal procedure in this type of business relationship)

    9) MP follows SG, until she is so tired and cannot run any more, grabs her and takes her into his vehicle. He beats her, and she dies.

    10) He cannot leave the body in Oak Beach, so he drives away and disposes of SG.

    11) He now has to return to Oak Beach to continue looking for SG, as a method of proving his innocence. IF MP and SG disappeared together, LE might focus on him.

    12) Later MP arranges for SG's clothing to be returned to Oak Beach and even later her body.

    13) Because her body is found, LE and Sleuthers are focusing on drowning; or PCH and other Long Island residents.

14)Nobody is thinking about MP and his involvement and he may have pulled off the perfect murder!

    15) If you accept the fact that SG's body was 'placed' where it was discovered, who else had a vehicle that night to drive off with SG?

the only problem I have with Pak possibly being the killer is that Coletti's wife said no one came & went thru the gate til police got there (in the jjfield notes)...so IMO, I took that to mean that Pak had already left Oak Beach before Gus went to man the gate and wait for police. And we know that Gilbert was down on Anchor Way/The Bayou where Brennan's 911 came from after she left Coletti's.

It is difficult for Coletti's wife to comment on what she did not see. We are talking about very short distances in this little area, a 1000 feet can be covered in 20 seconds in a vehicle. In a blink of an eye a vehicle can pass by a gate.

    This MSM
    http://www.newsday.com/news/breaking/gilbert-vanishing-reaches-one-year-mark-1.2849214

    stated

Pak looked for Gilbert along Ocean Parkway but said he gave up at 6 a.m., driving back to New York City.
By then, police had arrived in Oak Beach, but Gilbert was nowhere to be found.

When LE arrived did they speak to or check out MP's vehicle. If they did so then released MP to go, then my theory is wrong. If they did not and MP does not state they did, then my theory has merit.

It makes sense that MP left when LE arrived, if I had SG in my vehicle I would leave ASAP.

The key question is did LE interview and inspect MP's vehicle before he left Oak Beach at 6:00AM?

Anybody from LE wish to comment?

If I recall correctly, police did not actually speak to Pak til he & Diaz made the missing report for Shannan.

another point in your post I forgot to address - "Pak looked for Gilbert along Ocean Parkway"....doesn't mean much because Ocean Parkway is *outside* the gated community of Oak Beach.

Good point. She was running towards the gate so he may have thought she ran out of OB and was looking for her on OP.

MP may very well be involved in SG's disappearance. If so, then her death is not related to the other victims. I just can't see a hustler like him calling Melissa Barthelemy's little sister - too risky. Surely LE has let the sister listen to his voice. Anyone know what he is up to now?

Do not believe JB when he says he didn't pay. That is not how it works, with an escort you hand over the envelope when she comes through the door, or she leaves right away. They do not trust the clients to give the cash once the deed is done.

He is saying he didn't pay because that would be illegal and get him charged for using the services of a prostitute. He is not going to admit to that, so he will allways deny it and there is no one around to say otherwise.

If she was there for any length of time he must have paid.

He would have left because prostitution (and especially pimping) is a criminal act in the U.S. It does not necessarily have to have a sinister meaning, he may have left simply to avoid being asked too many questions about exactly WHY they were there. People in that line of work do NOT like to have to explain themselves to LE.

Yes what you say is true, but he did return to Oak Beach, when he exposed himself to the questions of LE. If he left to avoid questioning of LE why did he then return to be questioned? See my point, he had to leave to hide something(SG?)

I agree with you about JB paying for services of SG. However if SG was refusing to give MP his share, you can understand MP's anger.

I think MP got all the money in the end, IIRC SG's wallet was empty when found.

Oh good point about her wallet being possibly empty, we may never know that. I wonder if her family knows or can even state? I am positive that she was paid, escorts do not stay w/o payment. imo I still want to know where are the rest of her belongings that was documented she had with her, grrrr. That alone makes me think she was murdered. If she was not why didn't she have her items or why not return them to the family?

Pak had to return because Diaz wanted to know what happened to Gilbert & where she was. And, the missing person report had to be filed.

and I don't recall any reports about Gilbert's wallet being found "empty."

I double checked, and I could not find any reports (yet) about money, so either there was no money in the wallet/purse which is my theory or LE is not saying there was.

No missing person report was filed by MP in Long Island or Suffolk County. Mari filed one in New Jersey, as that was where SG lived. Missing person reports are filed in the locale where the person lived.

MP had a lot of plausible reasons to return to Oak Beach,

BTW in the timeline on SG by foreigner she does not have MP returning to Oak Beach until May 3. 2010.

If that is correct, then where was he from 6:00 AM May 1; until the morning of May 3 when he returned with A Diaz?

    Just wondering?

    @ Tugela-

To your knowledge do escorts expect payment in cash or do you know if they use modern conveniences like credit cards, paypal etc?

Oops... you did say the John hands over the cash in an envelope beforehand. With that being said, do escorts ever accept payment via credit card or paypal? Do you think it's possible that SG, MBB, ALC, MB, JT and/or MW accepted payment via credit card or paypal?
