He FaceTimed his friends in the early hours saying he was lost and his phone was at 2% battery - 12 mins into the call his phone supposedly died and no one has heard from nor seen him since. Haven't read anything in a while. Case is just baffling. While snow cover prevented winter searching, how could it be he wasn't found immediately? The Eagan PD will certainly begin the search again as soon as weather permits, as will private searchers lured by the reward. Doesn't matter who finds him. Just find him.
 
I check this thread, the Eagan police FB site, the Grace TikTok thread, and search the internet daily for any little thing…which I have for months. Devastating that there is nothing. My biggest question still is why the search was called off so early. Something must have been known at that point. I also don’t understand why there hasn’t been more transparency on this case…that could have helped find Bryce.
I pray he is found once warmer weather comes.

I had been checking this thread for updates almost religiously since Bryce went missing to the point where I actually had to force myself into a “timeout” of sorts from the entire site. Even more disappointing was returning after a month or two away to so few thread notifications as that was indicative to me that Bryce still hadn’t been found.

I know it takes time, especially considering the weather and bodies of water factors, and I hate to compare but also can’t help but compare it to other cases, like Nicola Bulley or more recently Nathan Millard. Obviously each of their circumstances were very different, but the most notable thing about all those cases and my sole reason for comparing them was their respective media coverage. It took time to find Nicola yet media coverage was plentiful. Nathan received far less coverage but even that was far more than Bryce has ever gotten. This is abysmal. Where is the local press? Why aren’t they pressing LE for at the very least a status update? The press is what keeps stories alive. Without their persistent hounding for answers LE will continue to move in silence, assuming they haven’t given up. Sad. Bryce deserves more.

Thought more about the why and lack of media. Bryce's extended family is fairly prominent. Guessing they are not so much in favor of the publicity. If Bryce is in the searched area, he will eventually be found. IF...

That was my thought from the beginning since his dad is quite high up at UnitedHealth Group. But after months and still not finding Bryce, I would not give a darn about keeping out of the spotlight or having the publicity. In fact, they would have been in a position to use that to their advantage, getting the word out and getting more people involved, and maybe finding him earlier.

That 30k could just be to make it worthwhile for independent searchers or PIs to find him. They seem very confident he is in the gravel pit, so if there is any foul play my guess would be that it is more like the guys were actually partying back there and something lead to Bryce going in the water (e.g they know someone is lying but not about what) vs a murder or something sinister. Prominent families means immediate lawyers which is why you're not hearing from them in the media and 150ft is too deep for most radar and scuba diving - they need specialist equipment. He really should have surfaced by now if he's not stuck - I wonder how rocky the bottom is.

I would think the Uber time drop-off was confirmed by Eagan police, as well as the cell phone from Bryce and to his friends, meaning they were partying previously downtown but not after the drop-off. Just don't think they were at the state park. However, it is totally strange we don't know who his friends were, and I don't recall them making any public statement.

Gravel pit? I haven’t looked her for a while but my kid asked me if I’d heard anything so I stopped by to read up. I’m not finding anything about a gravel pit in the thread but maybe I’m just skipping over it somehow?

oh, thank you - just another airhead moment. I was picturing gravel pit with gravel, not the typical water-filled quarry, thus my confusion. I live nearby but only look in here and there. With spring, I’ll be hoping Bryce is discovered.

Snow melting. Temps next week expected in high 60's. Guessing searches will soon resume, both police and private. Confidence in the police; just hope others stay safe.

If he isn't found soon, I'm feeling he may not be in the park. Right now I'll say he is, but it is strange he has not been found.
 
I hope someone is out looking. Or doing something. I have not gone out, as I don’t even know where to look anymore. I wish there was a little information or updates. I have been following the Madeline Kingsbury case in Winona, and devastated once again. I still think about Bryce every single day too. I have to wonder if Bryce’s case had half as many searchers, media coverage, and family involvement and speaking out as Maddie has, if he would have been found sooner. Hoping and praying he is found now that the weather is getting nicer.

Anyone know if the Eagan police are out?
 
Due to the snow melt, there is lots of flooding happening and I don’t think searches are possible right now. Fort Snelling State Park (which is the swampy forested area that abuts the industrial strip where Bryce went missing) is currently closed due to the high waters:

I’m hoping the flood waters don’t disrupt any remains that are (likely) out there. Really want his family to have closure.
