Yes, I'll be shortening both these up a bit! :)

Monday, June 29th:
*Omnibus (Pretrial) Hearing for all 3 – (@ 9am CT) - MN – George Terry Floyd (46) (May 25, 2020, Minneapolis, arrested for forgery & killed in police custody) – Tou Thao (34), Thomas Kiernan Lane (37), & J. Alexander Kueng (26) were fired (5/26/20), arrested & charged (6/3/20) with aiding & abetting 2nd degree murder-unintentional-while committing a felony & aiding & abetting 2nd degree manslaughter-culpable negligence creating unreasonable risk. Bond set at $1M for all or bond conditions @ $750K. Lane released (6/10/20) on $750K bond with conditions.
Bond Conditions: Follow all instructions of probation; Conditions, other; Contact with probation; Do not ship/transport/possess or receive firearm or ammo; No contact with victim or family; Remain law-abiding; Make all future court appearances; Sign Waiver of Extradition; Post Bail $750K or Bond with No Conditions $1M.
6/3/20 Update: Other officers were arrested & charged with aiding & abetting 2nd degree Murder-unintentional-while committing a felony & aiding & abetting 2nd degree manslaughter-culpable negligence creating unreasonable risk. All have been arrested (6/3/20) & bond set at $1M for all. Arraignment set for 6/4/20 for Thao, Lane & Kueng.
6/4/20 Update: On Wednesday, the three other officers were charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder. If convicted, they potentially face the same penalty as Chauvin: up to 40 years in prison. Earl Gray said his client, former Officer Thomas Lane, had no choice but to follow the instructions of Derek Chauvin, who has since been charged with second-degree murder in Floyd’s May 25 death. Gray called the case against his client “extremely weak. Gray said Thursday that all Lane did was hold Floyd’s feet so he couldn’t kick, and he underlined that the criminal complaint says Lane asked Chauvin twice if they should roll Floyd over and expressed concern that Floyd might be in delirium. He said Lane performed CPR in the ambulance." “What was my client supposed to do but follow what his training officer said? Is that aiding and abetting a crime?” Gray asked. Judge Paul Scoggin set their next court dates for June 29. Gray said he plans to renew his arguments for lower bail then, saying it could take more than a year for Lane’s case to go to trial. Judge Paul Scoggin sets bond at $1M or $750K with conditions: Follow all instructions of probation; Conditions, other; Contact with probation; Do not ship/transport/possess or receive firearm or ammo; No contact with victim or family; Remain law-abiding; Make all future court appearances; Sign Waiver of Extradition; Post Bail or Bond with No Conditions.
6/10/20 Update: Thomas Lane has been released from jail on bond with conditions, according to online records posted by the Hennepin County Jail. Judge Peter Cahill has been assigned to oversee the cases of Derek Chauvin, J. Kueng, Thomas Lane and Tou Thao.
6/19/20 Update: Kueng made conditional bond & was released from jail Friday night.
6/5/20: Motion filed Notice of Audiovisual Coverage-KSTP-TV. 6/8/20: Motion filed Notice of Audoivisual Coverage-WCCO-TV. 6/9/20: Motions filed Notice of Audiovisual Coverage: FOX 9, MPR News, Star Tribune, CNN, Associated Press, Court TV & Law & Crime Network. 6/10/20: Motions filed Notice of Audiovisual Coverage: NBC News WCCO Radio & New York Times. 6/11/20: Motion filed Notice of Audiovisual Coverage-KARE 11. 6/12/20: Motions filed Notice of Audiovisual Coverage: ABC News & Washington Post. 6/26/20 Update: Friday, a judge denied a motion seeking to allow pretrial proceedings in the case of George Floyd's murder to be recorded and broadcast. "Given that this is a case that has already received substantial pretrial media coverage, the Court finds that audio or video coverage of the pretrial hearings in this case would not only violate Gen. R. Prac. 4.02(d)(v), but would risk tainting a potential Hennepin County jury pool. In addition, not all parties consent, as required by the rule," District Court Judge Peter A. Cahill wrote.

All done. All 4 former officers appeared separately for approximate 10 minute hearings. So far, there is no motion to join these cases as one. Judge made clear if public officials keep talking abt case & innocence/guilt. He will move this trial out of Henn Co.

Judge said, he wants to see family members & other parties stop talking about this case in media. Defense has said it'll be near impossible to get a fair trial. Judge also says he is open to broadcasting trial itself. But not pre-trial hearings. Trial tentatively set: March 8th.

Who's trial on March 8th, since no one made a motion to combine the cases - just wondering!
TIA!

George Floyd trials could move from Minneapolis: Judge

Cahill set a March 8 trial date for the former officers if they are tried together, though he said he expected motions to be filed to separate their trials. The next court date is September 11.

The defendants have not entered pleas.

Hennepin County Judge Peter Cahill stopped short of issuing a gag order on the lawyers, but he said one is likely if public statements continue. Cahill added that such a situation would also make him likely to grant a change-of-venue motion if one is filed.

The judge has not ruled on whether to allow cameras for the trial itself, in which Minnesota usually requires the consent of all parties.

Updated article: UPDATE: 4 former MPD officers charged in Floyd's death appear in court, judge hopes to limit pre-trial publicity

While I can't really speak to the appropriateness from a legal standpoint, I can't help but think that Kueng's attourney did not do him any favours in the court of public opinion with this:

"On Monday, Kueng's attorney submitted a court filing indicating that his client intends to plead not guilty, along with claims of self-defense, and using reasonable and authorized uses of force."

(Snipped from article in link, but BBM)

Unless there's something on the unreleased police bodycams which supports the claim of self defense? It's odd that they won't release them.

There is no way that there is any amount of video that would justify self-defense in that they continued to kneel on him after he lost consciousness. Further, one of these men were asking the lead murderer if he should be place on his side. These comments would not have been made if they believed that he was a threat. They and the lead murderer did not appear to be struggling to keep Mr. Floyd under their control. He had three people on him.

Once Mr. Floyd was under the three of them and not resisting, they can not claim self-defense.

IMHO.
