The police would not have put the family through the turmoil of changing it to a death investigation if they thought the brothers would be found alive.
I know everyone wants to be hopeful but reality is what it is.
If he's cooperating how are they still looking for them?
It appears to be live feed from this Twitter account.
I think they need to be a little harder on their interrogation techniques.Sounds like it was specified he is only cooperating with the tampering charges.
Thanks so much! I really thought we’d get a little more info. I’m interested in what changed from a missing person case to a death investigation.Summary of Content from Presser:
(They started early, so I missed the first part, hopefully somebody else can summarize what I missed)
- Weather is complicating the search
- Heavy rain over the weekend has hampered/slowed LE's search efforts
- "Trying to gather evidence, you're at the mercy of nature"
- Nelson and the D brothers have had a business deal going on for "a few months"
- Searching other properties as well as the farm
- "He's been cooperative" re: the suspect (seems like LE always says that, doesn't it?)
- "It's a long-term case"
- "We're in it for the long haul"
- Discovery of the truck along w/ other info they aren't going to disclose has turned this into a death investigation
- Bond hearing scheduled this Thursday
- He's been under previous investigation federally as we all know
- "We've been searching the whole farm"
- About 74 acres
- Not going to talk about evidence they've discovered
- Can't thank all of the agencies that have helped them enough
- The D brothers had their meeting with JN at the farm location
If he's cooperating how are they still looking for them?
Who said he is cooperating?
The sheriff. About 3.5 minutes in. I hope I am linking correctly.
I believe the sheriff said “he’s been cooperative for the tampering charge, he’s been cooperative”.Summary of Content from Presser:

Could be completely unrelated, but, does anyone know if they have released info on the male body that was recovered from the Missouri River in the county below Caldwell on Sunday? Could it potentially be related to this case? Just north of Wellington it said.
Officials pull man’s body from Missouri River near Wellington, Mo.
