Mystery surrounds missing Winston County woman - WCBI TV | Your News Leader

A woman from Winston County has been missing, going on three weeks now.

Investigators first issued the missing person’s report last week, but now they’re saying they believe there’s something more to her disappearance.

Puzzled is just what investigators are.

Desiree Eaves, 41, was last seen at a home on Highway 15 just across the Winston County line. Investigators say someone there offered her a ride.

“A few minutes later she came up missing from there,” said Alexander.

Witnesses at the home told investigators they remember seeing Eaves. One moment she was there. What happened next is still a mystery.

Winston Web News: Arrest Made in Neshoba County in Case of Missing Winston County Woman

Winston County Sheriff Jason Pugh indicated that new evidence has surfaced that implicated Snow in her death but that the investigation is ongoing.

The search for Eaves has been ongoing since that time in both Winston and Neshoba County.

Eaves' body has not been found at this time and searches and investigations are on-going. Pugh indicated that additional arrests may result.

I'm so glad that LE is still working on getting justice for Desiree. I wonder if Desiree knew William Craig Snow. He wasn't on her friends list on either of her most recent FB pages.

A second arrest in the cold case death of a missing Louisville woman has been made by Neshoba County Sheriff's deputies.

Huland D. Boatner, 41, of 10903 Highway 395, had a previous charge upgraded to murder in connection with an ongoing case concerning the disappearance of Desiree Eaves in November of 2018.

Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark said that Boatner had been brought in earlier this month and charged with accessory after the fact.

Clark said that Boatner had been denied bond on the murder charge.

When asked if they had found the woman's body, Clark said that they are staying tight-lipped on any details as the case remains under investigation.

"All I can say at this time is that we are working real hard on pursuing any leads we have in that case," Clark said Monday. "We are trying to keep what we can confidential as we continue to investigate."

Clark announced two weeks ago that his office had arrested William Craig Snow, 44, of Philadelphia.

Both men are charged with the murder of Desiree Eaves, 41, of Louisville.

Eaves was last seen on Nov. 6, 2018, off Highway 15 at a residence in the Stallo community, about 10 miles north of Snow's residence at 16131 Highway 15 north and close to the Winston County Line.

Neshoba deputies, working in conjunction with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, made the arrest at Snow's home on April 2.

Snow, a convicted felon, was also found to be in possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance.

He was denied bond on those three charges — murder, possession of a firearm by a felon and controlled substance. He was denied bond at his first appearance and remains in custody.

It is unclear at this time when or how investigators believe the murder took place or whether they have discovered a body. Calls to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation were not immediately returned.

Clark wouldn't comment further, citing an ongoing investigation. In a prepared press release, he asked anyone with information regarding Eaves disappearance or Snow's involvement to call East Mississippi Crime Stoppers at (855) 485-TIPS (8477) where a reward is still posted.
