This is SO odd, even mysterious IMO!!!

Se the 2 videos of he NOVEMBER 14, blast in this link:

Something Mysterious Lit Up the Russian Sky — and No One Knows Exactly What It Was

    My notes:

Most people believe it was a meteorite or that something big on the ground exploded however IMHO:

No IMO it was NOT a meteorite.
    WHY?... because:
NO sound was noticed and if it was a meteorite or something big on the ground exploded a HUGE blast would be heard IMO.
And I have checked, NO earthquakes/ seismic wave in the area were recorded that day, and if it was a meteorite like the Chelyabisnk flash, then some kind of seismic wave would have bin recorded, like with the Chelyabisnk meteorite which produced a seismic wave which registered on seismographs at magnitude 2.7.

    FACTS:

It happened in the Sverdlovsk region (Russia) November 14, 2014, 5:39pm local time
    It lasted aprox. 11 seconds
No sound of explosion has been reported
No media whatsoever mentioned the blast (Nov 18 the person who recorded it put it on youtube and then media got hold of it)
Regional emergency services said no accidents in connection with the event had been recorded.
Officials from the regional emergencies ministry refused to comment and a local observatory said nothing fell from the sky on the day of the flash.
Astronoma, Vadim Krushinsky, doubted his colleague's theory (that it was a meteorite), saying the color of the flash does not support the asteroid speculation.
Both scientists and emergency services still struggle to explain the unusual event.

Wow. That is so odd looking. Hopefully we will get an answer soon.

If you watch the video a few times you will notice there are some "explosions" that light the sky BEFORE the huge blast takes place. That surely looks like something on the ground exploded. Several small explosions, then the big one.

I would like to have some of the people who saw that fertilizer plant in Texas blow up take a look at this. And then give their opinion. It definitely does NOT look like something that fell from the sky.

That makes quite a bit of sense.

What doesn't make sense to me is the lack of sound.

    Yes exactly!

AND... the lack of any seismic wave recorded in the area that day !!!

Here is my research on earthquaketrack.com made Nov 19, 2014:

    http://earthquaketrack.com/ru-71-kamensk-uralskiy/recent

Recent Earthquake Near Kamensk-Uralskiy, Sverdlovsk, RussiaRecent Quakes Nearby Places
Kamensk-Uralskiy has had: (M1.5 or greater)

    0 earthquakes today
0 earthquakes in the past 7 days
0 earthquakes in the past month

I mean, if it was some kind of explosion on the ground, a seismic wave/ earthquake in the area would have been recorded.

Nope, not IMO due to that there are at least 3 different videos, by 3 different people, obviously recorded at 3 different locations, of the same blast.

I wondered that as well. I'm no expert, but the videos sure look real. I wondered why no major outlets....CNN, ABC, NBC...have covered the story.

If it was a chemical plant explosion there would be noise and bad air afterwards. jmo

Yes...was it last year? I remember there was a huge meteor that
lit up the sky in Russia...it actually hit buildings causing a sonic boom and lots of damage.

I hate to be a buzz-kill, but that wasn't a "huge" meteor, last year or this.

When a HUGE meteor hits, we'll all know about it, I fear. LOL.

For some reason I hear "Mysterious HUGE BLAST Lit Up the Russian Sky" to the same tune as Bobby D.'s "Pistol shots ring out in the ballroom night..."

It looks a lot like the Tsar bomb they might have done a practice aerial drop from one of there bombers since they have not done one in a long time. I just hope these Russian bombers flying close to our country are not carrying these. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MakNe6aqgMg
