The Oak Island Police Department has announced that it is looking for 29-year-old Anna Lynn Walker.

I lived on Oak Island for awhile. Inherited a family beach house. Crime is so uncommon.

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - A family is now offering a $5,000 reward for any information about their daughter who went missing six months ago.

Anna Walker left her home in Oak Island on October 28, 2023, and then her body was found floating in Smith Creek in Wilmington about a month later on November 25, 2023.

Teresa (her mother) says they are afraid this will become a cold case if there is no new information soon. That’s why they’re now offering a $5,000 reward for anyone who has information on Anna’s disappearance and death.

Detectives with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office say the autopsy for Walker recently came back, but the toxicology report has not come back yet. A NHCSO spokesperson says without the toxicology report there are no clear answers, and it could be months before they get those reports back.
