Hmm, wonder who fingered Sandy? Must be an internal bus, certainly not the same bus that's running over Carolyn, Jamie and now Brooke.

And what's absurd, Mr. Attorney, should you be reading HERE, is Casey Parsons "Nan/Strawberry/Kelly" story about what happened to Erica !! :banghead:

Why would CP and SP cancel another DSS hearing?
 
Maybe they are just stalling for time for some unknown reason... on legal advice? Does this also infer they did NOT see their other kids? (confused)

From the WBTV report. I'm pretty sure this is the second time the DSS hearing has been cancelled but I'll go back and see if I can find confirmation in an earlier link.

I bet they cancelled it because they don't have a home so they know the kids would not be given back to them. I hope LE can charge then with something soon!

Are you thinking of the meeting with LE about Erica's disappearance that was cancelled due to scheduling conflicts? The meeting was supposed to take place after a DSS hearing.
Sherrill said his clients were supposed to talk with investigators, including local authorities, to provide information. Sherrill said Parsonses were cooperating with investigators.

However, the meeting did not happen because of scheduling conflicts, Sherrill said.

Originally I was wondering if the DSS hearing had been cancelled twice. I cannot figure out from the media links whether it was meant meetings or a hearing, which are quite different. At this point I still don't know, but I don't understand why a DSS hearing would have been cancelled twice.
I'm very happy to have the local media keeping Erica's name out there but I wish the reporting was less confusing.

It was reported on September 30 by WSOC that sources said that the Parsons access to the two younger children might soon be blocked. The Parsons' attorney also said that the family might not "be able to continue their supervised weekly visits" with the children.

The custody hearing (in court) was delayed on September 26.

Both sides agreed to a continuation in the hearing, saying there was too much evidence in the case and they needed more time. A hearing will likely now take place in late October.

Casey and Sandy Parsons had an appointment earlier today (October 16) with DSS which Casey and Sandy Parsons cancelled. The Salisbury Post indicated that this meeting was to take place at the Rowan County Department of Social Services.

My understanding...

On September 26, a custody hearing was delayed by mutual agreement of both sides. Today, October 16, a scheduled meeting with DSS was cancelled by Casey and Sandy Parsons.
 
The adoptive parents of Erica Parsons, who has been missing nearly two years, canceled an appointment with Rowan Social Services earlier Tuesday but showed up for a supervised visit with their two youngest children.

Sandy and Casey Parsons were expected to arrive at the Rowan County Department of Social Services. A Post reporter went to Rowan Social Services, but the two never showed.

So did they cancel the meeting ahead of time or were they a no show? Confusing.
 
Also kind of sounds like they had money coming in but not much in line of employment records. A large sum of unexplained money could solve this case. jmo

Financial records were also seized during the home search in August. A list of seized inventory includes a Wells Fargo deposit slip, a Wells Fargo check and withdrawal slip for Shirley B. Parsons, (the mother of Casey Parsons) and several other items that could have dealt with financial records.

How is Shirley B. Parsons CP's mother? I thought CP's maiden name was Stone.
