NC NC - James Chambers, 28, Fayetteville, 18 Aug 2014

Remains were found about 1/4 mile from the store where James had supposedly made a purchase. This is taken into account that the ABC store was still located in the same place on Bragg Blvd. There are a few missing persons from this area so the remains could belong to anyone but seems fairly close to where James had been.

The young man who gave him a ride took him to cash his check, then took him to the ABC store on Bragg Blvd in Fayetteville, NC then was to take him home where he lived with roommates.

. Where did you find the statement you made above ? It is not in that link . It says nothing about James and/or who the remains may belong to. There's no other article on the net about this. Please ,more details .
This you wrote , where is that ?

The details surrounding circumstances of James’ disappearance is listed in NamUs. The link is below. Mentioned in my original post was that there are a few people missing from this area and the remains could belong to anyone. I posted to James’ thread since this area is close to where he was last reported to have been.

Circumstances of Disappearance
James was catching a ride home with a young man after work. He works on Fort Bragg and has a summer job a Lake Leamon as a life guard. The young man who gave him a ride took him to cash his check, then took to the ABC store on Bragg Blvd in Fayetteville, NC, then was to take him home where he lived with roommates. We are assuming he did indeed make it home because his roommates found the box the alcohol was in, but never saw James. He has been missing since that day. His cellphone is not in service and there has been no contact with him.

<modsnip> There's several that have been found lately. Please follow Fayetteville Police Department site for all updates. They will be the first to tell us if any of the skeletal remains are in fact James . Here is the last statement about the concern from FPD posted 6 hours ago.
Please read it in its entirety . You can follow the latest on these investigations at Fayetteville Police Department

| Fayetteville Police Department Address Community Concerns |
The Fayetteville Police Department has been made aware of community concerns about information circulating on social media in recent days about a series of death investigations along the Bragg Boulevard corridor.
As it pertains to these recent investigations, there is no evidence to suggest a correlation between any of the cases. As detectives wait on information from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and conduct their investigations, it is imperative that we not allow social media or other narratives to reach a conclusion that brings fear to our community or disrupts the investigative process.
On October 16, Fayetteville Police Officers responded to a call concerning skeletal remains located within a wooded area near the 3900 block of Bragg Boulevard. Those remains have been deemed present in that location for quite some time.
On October 11, the Fayetteville Police Department Officers responded to two separate incidents. This led to two separate and distinct investigations. The first investigation led officers to 1204 Bragg Boulevard, where persons working on the building discovered a subject in the advanced stages of decomposition. This building has been vacant for several years. Officers later responded to the area of Fieldcrest Drive in the Bonnie Doone subdivision where a female was located deceased in an open field. That death investigation has been ruled a homicide and detectives are actively pursuing leads and information to bring resolution to this investigation.
On September 25, officers responded to an area behind the Motel 6 located at 3719 Bragg Boulevard for a report of a deceased subject. The subject appeared to have been in the location for a few days. In each of these cases, the investigation is ongoing and any manner and the cause of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The Fayetteville Police Department, as well the District Commander, is aware of the incidents and have deployed additional police resources to help these investigations, including our Community Empowerment Response Team (CERT) in the Bonnie Doone area.
We rely heavily on our citizens to provide information and want to make sure accurate and timely information is provided to them. If you have information related to any case, we always encourage you to contact Crime Stoppers at (910) 483-8477 or any of the detectives assigned to the cases.
