Earl Kimrey’s murder trial involving Mariah Woods receives new court date of March 21, 2022

The new court date is scheduled for March 21, 2022. This is the third delay for the State vs. Adolphus Earl Kimrey.

Kimery’s attorneys say coronavirus has made it impossible to prepare for the trial date that was previously scheduled for November 8, 2021.

Pre-trial motions must be down on or before February 14, 2022.

I'm with you on every word you've said. I was shocked way back when, when Kimrey was arrested and charged and the mother had no charges against her.
JMO They were both involved.

I agree 1000 percent but IMO they probably need her to testify against him. She may have immunity. If she doesn’t end up testifying against him, I think we’ll all be furious that she escaped punishment. He couldn’t have done what he did without her turning two blind eyes and/or cooperating.

I’m going to try to attend a few days of the trial too.

I can't attend as not in US, but if I were to attend I'd get thrown out for giving verbal in a loud voice. That's putting it politely.

There should have been additional charges for negligence, if nothing else; given what was revealed prior to Mariah's murder.

I think it may well be the real trial date, IMO. Because is is a DP case, more consideration is often given to both sides of the situation, but I think, despite Covid, that each side has surely had enuff time.

*Administrative Status Hearing (@ am session ET) - NC - Mariah Kay Woods (3) (Nov. 27, 2017, Onslow County; found Dec. 2, 2017 in Shelter Creek in Pender County) - *Adolphus Earl Kimrey II (32/now 35) (BF of Mom) arrested & charged (12/2/17) & indicted (2/23/18) with 1st degree murder, felonious child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury resulting in death & felony concealing a death, obstruction of justice, felony 2nd degree burglary, felony larceny & misdemeanor possession of stolen property. Plead not guilty. Held on no bond. DA will seek DP.
The cause of death was chloroform toxicity. Details of death sealed, search warrants & 911 call were unsealed Feb. 24, 2018.
Trial set to begin on 3/21/22.

4/16/21 Update: Pretrial hearing on 4/20/21 an afternoon hearing. 4/20/21 Update: Trial is set to begin on 11/8/21. Next motions hearing on 8/11/21 regarding trial continuance.
8/11/21 Update: Judge Imelda Pate this morning okayed a motion to have the trial for Kimrey delayed until March of next year. Kimrey’s lawyer, Wally Paramore, said he is involved in a death penalty trial in Duplin County that is set to begin later this month & it could last until October. Paramore also said COVID-19 restrictions, including face-to-face visits inside the Onslow County jail, have impacted their preparation. Judge Pate set the trial for 3/21/22 in Onslow County & gave attorneys until 2/14/22 to file any pretrial motions in the case. An administrative status hearing for the case will be held on 12/13/21.

I know - it's been awhile... over 4 years ago this little girl left this Earth - she needs justice!! Haven't heard anything about this case since his last hearing on 12/31/21.


I do have his trial starting 3/21/22 - but I highly doubt it will - since he has a change of venue motion going on....

And "where" is @borndem ??!!??

We've waited this long and will perhaps have to wait longer to see justice for little Mariah.

Thanks for taking the time to look! I too don't think trial will start then either, unfortunately....
