The victim's face was swollen, consistent with injuries suffered from a beating with an unknown weapon. The official cause of death was ruled as blunt force trauma to the head. He also suffered injuries to the neck and rib areas of the body. An autopsy indicated McLean had been drinking heavily, but it wasnt sure how if at all that played into the incident...

That was around 10 p.m., which leaves much to the imagination until McLeans body was discovered two hours later. One theory is that McLean followed the group of women to a home, where a man became upset with McLeans presence. From the original investigation, police said, there was at least one other person at the home that night where the man was reported to be mad at McLean. That person hasnt come forward as a witness.

We did have a Crime Stoppers tip, said interim Police Chief Rodney Tucker. Heres why we think theres somebody out there who knows something. According to the tip, the victim showed up at a persons house with two males there and an argument happened because hed been drinking heavily and was asked to leave. The person who called the tip in said a friend assaulted the victim, so that friend became a person of interest. But he was uncooperative at the interview.
