This one has left quite a digital trail. She was involved in a custody dispute around the time that she disappeared.

I believe that she's listed as using a name of Cari Potter in 2010, she, and the child mentioned in the custody dispute is mentioned in an obit from Macedonia, Iowa in 2010. http://www.loesshillsfuneralhome.com/obituary/90540/Luanne-Bisbee-of-Macedonia,-Iowa/

The son listed in custody dispute looks to be alive and well, is on Facebook, and doesn't look to be friends with (or posting any pics with) his mother.

I noticed that the official listing on the Iowa website has Facebook comments indicating she's wanted, not exactly missing. She's also not listed in NamUs - if anyone has information, it would probably be wise to contact Iowa law enforcement.

Arrest made in 2012 missing person case

An arrest has been made in a 2012 missing person and homicide case, the Omaha Police Department said Thursday in a news release.

Shanna Goylar, 41, was arrested Thursday at her residence in Persia, Iowa, on a charge of first-degree murder, the release said. She is being held in the Pottawattamie County Jail awaiting extradition to Omaha.

I can't find anything saying Cari's remains have been located. Articles mention DNA testing, but of what?

Well, I'm clueless as usual. I don't know what they did the DNA testing on unless it was Cari's vehicle when it was found. I wonder if Golyar was impersonating Farver, murdered her and took over her identity? Not much information at all.

Funding for the DNA testing was not awarded until 2014. That's a long time to wait from the time she disappeared to when they found the car and then waiting another year to do the testing!

Waiting for more information on this one, it's all very confusing isn't it... Looks like someone was impersonating Cari online and causing trouble in her name long her name long after she was killed. Maybe that's what led LE to the murderer

    This is an interesting case.

I read it to be the 2014 grant for DNA testing was for all cold cases. Perhaps her case wasn't tested until recently though. I do wonder if the DNA was found in her vehicle. It seems the only logical explanation.

Oh my gosh! Fingerprints on a pack of gum found in the car and blood stains at the boyfriend's residence (they were both dating him) were what led to Goylar's arrest. $5 million dollar bond!!!

So why isn't he charged if the blood stains were at his house?
