I want to know why he killed her??????
I'm sure you did not mean what I think you are saying. I'm tired and maybe a little over-sensitive tonight.
But you can make that call if you suspect something is wrong with a child. Producing evidence or proof would be up to LE. The important aspect is bringing it to their attention. As you stated, it's hard to prevent what is not done in public.
We should all have the mentality of a mandatory reporter.
Why would he not want an Attorney? The rural Mitchell man charged with first-degree murder Friday in the death of his 8-year-old stepdaughter Kerra Wilson is being held without bond after telling Sioux County Court Judge Russ Harford he does not want an attorney to represent him.
During his initial court appearance, 32-year-old Salvador Carl Lopez also told Judge Harford he wanted to waive a preliminary hearing. , which means his case will immediately move to district court. A date for the arraignment of Lopez, where he will enter a plea has not been set yet.
Harford granted Sioux County Attorney Adam Edmund's request to hold Lopez without bond after Edmund cited the serious of the crime, the defendant's apparent admission to the crime and the fact he was a flight risk because of connections to Mexico including a wife and father. Lopez will be held in the Dawes County jail until his next court hearing.

AMEN! I just said on another thread that if anyone suspects anything, call 911. Many people will disagree with me (don't care - let em) LOL.
Before becoming a scanner chatter junkie, I may have said "eh, use your better judgement". But I've heard too many calls about people who forgot to lock their doors, or their cat is locked in, or they have a flat tire....and yes, 911 actually follows up on these silly calls.
If you think a child is in danger inside or outside of your home - DEAL WITH IT. Don't ignore it!!!
Okay - that's my opinion.

I see he's got a line shaved into his eyebrow which might indicate a gang symbol. He's a little old to be making a fashion statement like a lot of high school kids are doing with this. In fact, a lot of schools are banning the shave lines in eyebrows because of gang association.
might just be a scar. I know some that have childhood scars from falling on their eyebrows and hair doesn't grow there. :waitasec:

Yep, I have a scar next to my eye like that, as well as on my eyebrow and so does my brother.
I threw something and hit him in the head. I don't remember what it was, but I am sure he could give you every detail. :innocent:
I would think if it was a gang symbol it would be less subtle? Or maybe I just knew people who were more "out there."
I knew a guy who tattooed hitler's face on his chest... people who had their gang signs tattooed on themselves... so the idea of something that could so easily be an accident is a bit odd to me. :waitasec:
It could definitely explain his lack of a record though....
However, him coming from Mexico and changing his name could as well. As could a previous lack of opportunity to commit such a crime.
What does this mean??? Oh dear Lord
Edmund said that children and witnesses also remained living in the Lopez household and that Lopez had ties to Mexico, including a father and wife who live there.

Could it be the father's wife? Hard to tell...
I was pointing out the fact that it said "children and witnesses were left in the Lopez household" Did the children or the mother witness the murder????
