Found Deceased NH - Amanda Grazewski, 23, Derry, 17 Mar 2020

Rob Russell, the founder of 2A Tactical, a search-and-rescue drone organization, invited two other drone pilots to search Alexander Carr Park for Amanda Grazewski, who was 23 when she went missing.

Before the drones started flying, Russell met with Grazewski’s aunts, Joan O’Connor and Margaret Tourville, to discuss exactly what they would be looking for.

“Ultimately, we’re aren’t doing any physical digging,” Russell said. “People will ask, ‘How can a drone see from up there,’ but there’s indicators on the surface, like plant growth or disturbed dirt.”

During the search, the drones were brought down so the pilots could download the images taken during the flights. During each flight, the pilots would digitally mark points of interest where it looked like the ground had been disturbed.

He, along with the other pilots, were looking for signs of unnatural looking foliage, piles of dirt that might be a buried body, or personal belongings that could have belonged to Grazewski.

Tourville, who is Grazewski’s godmother, traveled from Rhode Island to watch the search.

“Hopefully we find something,” Tourville said. “It’s been a long road, going on five years now.”

Did the police search the areas?

The area between the HoodKroft Golf Course, the side street (Wilson Ave.) where Amanda was visiting, and the Alexander Carr Park is wetlands--swampy marsh.

The searchers used the golf course to access the marsh. You can see a police cruiser, golf carts, and 2 small tents on the golf course. A couple of officers are at the woodline. And a searcher wearing red is in the marsh at the edge of the water to the right. And it looks like a searcher in dark clothing is standing further out in the water.

Human skeletal remains have been found in an area near the Hoodkroft Country Club golf course in Derry. The announcement came late Thursday afternoon after many hours of intensive searching by local and state police.

Following up on a tip received by the Derry Police Department on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, officers were conducting a search of the area, during which skeletal remains were discovered,

The discovery came less than 24 hours after Derry Police announced late Wednesday that it was conducting a sweep/search of an area near the Hoodkroft Country Club golf course due to a tip.

New Hampshire State Police Major Crimes Unit and the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department assisted Derry detective in the search, which continued all day Thursday.

A volunteer drone operator who'd searched the area last fall posted this today.

Quite a graphic description from the pilot of the drone, Jenness Keller. In the video, he clarified that a family member asked him to search the marsh after receiving a tip.

Keller said on Thursday, he used advanced drone technology to survey about 75 acres of water and marsh area near the Hoodkroft Country Club golf course in Derry, which later led to the discovery of skeletal remains.

"You go into it hoping that you'll find something, but have zero expectations and hope that you're surprised," Keller said "So, the last point of interest was the most interesting one. That was four feet long, and I could barely make out two legs and an arm and a torso."

If you haven’t heard this podcast (Vanished Amanda Grazewski) is very well done and has interviews with her mom and Aunt who provide so much info from behind the scenes.

I myself have prayed for this girl and Im heartbroken that her remains may have been found in Derry and have to be tested to see if it is her.
How did she get from Birch Road in Derry to the Hoodkroft golf club? Then How did her SS card go from her person to Manchester outside Eliott Hospital?

Not entirely surprising but still very sad. I'm sure it's almost an impossible task, but I hope they can find out what happened. My thoughts are with her and her family.

Mine are too.

I think the Derry police and NH attorney general have a good idea of what happened. Without evidence of foul play, there wasn't enough to proceed. Amanda was an adult. She didn't have her own place or a predictable routine. She moved around, staying with acquaintances in several cities and towns. That made it difficult to prove something happened to her in Derry on March 16-17, 2020. There was no proof she didn't leave of her own volition. It seemed improbable Amanda would have left the apartment without her cell phone and bag. But not impossible.

The men Amanda was with that night were shady. They were drug dealers, addicts with criminal records, including for violence. I think police suspected early on that Amanda didn't leave the apartment. The most likely scenario was that she OD'd and the others hid her body.

Within 2 months, the police had 911 calls from neighbors on Birch St reporting violence against a woman at that apartment. The subject of the calls was the person who'd last seen Amanda. I think from then on, the police knew it was unlikely Amanda didn't simply overdose. MOO.

Here's the police log from May 2020. The last person to have seen Amanda 6 weeks previously was initially charged with domestic violence, assault, and witness tampering, and drug charges. Victims and witnesses told police about the violence, but were too afraid of retribution from the drugdealer to go on the record.

The last person to see Amanda ended up in prison on federal drug charges. The 911 calls did end up putting the dealer behind bars on federal drug charges. He was pulled over as he was fleeing the scene. The amount of drugs in his car lead to prosecution and conviction on federal charges and prison time.

The other man who with Amanda at the apartment in Derry died 2 months ago of an overdose. Others in the same circles talked over the years when they were using. That's what lead to the drone operator searching the marsh, IMO. The Derry police log from March 19-21 shows the intense response to the marsh after the tip.

Now that Amanda's remains have been recovered, I'm hoping there is sufficient evidence to prosecute. The drugdealer went back to jail on parole violations days after Amanda's remains were recovered.
