It's really sad that the LE who were giving them directions didn't know they had difficulties understanding them otherwise I'm sure the would of all worked together to get them home safely.
I know I have seen license plates for the physically challenged before. I wish that they were made available for those with intellectual challenges as well. Maybe even stated on their license. Then if LE has an encounter with them, they would be aware right away to check of their safey. Just IMO.

I have a senior that I keep tabs on that has cognitive and confusion issues.

He has a Lifeline with a GPS in it so we can track him. I also slipped an Air Tag into his car and wallet just in case as a back up.

Several times I have told him to pull over and stop driving and I go find him.

How I wish someone told them to stop driving and wait for help.

Ms. Pushard and Bussell were located near Nicatous Lake in East Hancock Maine. Members of the Maine Warden Service are escorting Ms. Pushard and Bussell to awaiting medical services as this announcement is being posted. Two women reported missing for days after getting lost while driving in New Hampshire and Maine were safely found Sunday, according to police.

According to police, the two had been trying to get to Topsham, but got lost, driving into Massachusetts, New Hampshire. and northern Maine.

My family had a camp on Nicatous, on leased paper company land. One time, when I was heading home, I got lost on those logging roads, because it's so easy to take a wrong turn or miss a turn. I also know of two people who ended up in that area from the highway, and they have no recollection as to how they got there. One of them was lost for days, driving around those roads.

A Game Warden, Brad Richard, found the two women around 4 p.m. while on a snowmobile.

Officials say Pushard and Bussell were on an unplowed road near the lake after the car became stuck and ran out of gas.
