The word honkie is one of several terms used in the pro vs. con argument. Another is wasicu, the meaning being 'one who chews the fat' or 'greedy'. It's about perspective.
I used the term honkie to show that 'little snakes' is as offensive as honkie.
I understand that now. At the time I posted, I had no idea that "Sioux" wasn't a Native American term.
I wonder how African Americans feel about the U. of Virginia Cavaliers, given that those same cavaliers introduced slavery into the state?
But then we could ask the same question of blacks who attend the U. of Mississippi (Rebels) or Native Americans who attend the U. of Oklahoma (Sooners).
