A local TV station ran a news item on Arroyo on the 10 p.m. news last night. Earlier in the evening, the TV station was advertising on a local classic rock radio station and the radio ad specifically mentioned Arroyo Grande Jane Doe as one of their lead stories. It was followed up by a written story. The story mentions that detectives believe Jane's "S" tattoo was done very close to the time she died, a portion of a shower curtain was found near her body, and that
"He believes Jane was not homeless because of sophisticated dental work she had done called a suture.
“Some dentist or orthodontist out there in 1980 put that in her tooth,” Ebert points out. “

Or, if she were being held captive for any length of time, maybe she did it herself so she could be identified?

Found this article dated 10/17/2016 which contains what looks like all of her dental x-rays?

I believe the gap was a small gap, and was just the way her teeth grew-- but anyone feel free to correct me if I am wrong
Maybe LE has looked into this already, but I wish there was a way that the dental work of UIDs, including Arroyo, could be presented at dentist conventions like the American Dental Association or whatever. Some dentist somewhere is going to remember their work and a patient's mouth.........
I can not get out of my mind that putting on the tattoo was the reason for this violente attack on her. Domestic violence, killed by one of both (two weapons) parents and thats wy not reported missing. Mayb be the S was the first letter of the name of a forbidden boyfriend.

The thing is was the gap there before or after she dissapeared? Makes a big difference in searching...
She had ligature wire in the area of tooth #27, believed to be the result of a jaw fracture.
Im getting very frustrated now because I asked this question quit al long time ago...could this gap between her teath could be the result of her being hitting in the face very hard.........ok. thank you very much for this information.....

From the article.Henderson, Nev. — Police are seeking dentists’ help in identifying a woman who was found slain on the side of the road in 1980.
Could this be her? Cecile Frances Moch, 19 Y.O.A. 5'3" 100 lbs. Disappeared August 7, 1980 from Santa Barbara, California. I don't see her listed on any of the Rule-Out Lists.
