Circumstances of Disappearance:
White went missing from Winnemucca, Nevada on June 26, 1992.*** He was last seen around 7:30 PM when he told his neighbor he was going on a "short drive" in his gray Pontiac sedan with another neighbor. He always comes home before dark but failed to return and has never been heard from again. It is considered highly uncharacteristic for him to go missing due to his age and his relationship with nearby family members.

Some belongings of his neighbor were found in an abandoned vehicle, but both White, and his car have never been located. Few details are available regarding his disappearance and his whereabouts remain unknown.

***There is a discrepancy as to whether he was last seen on June 26 or July 26, 1992.

Another case file that could use more information.

Belongings of the neighbor were found in an abandoned car.
  • What belongings?
  • When? How soon after White went missing were these items found?
  • Where was the abandoned car located? How far from White's residence?
  • Is the neighbor is also missing?
NamUs normally reports when a vehicle has been recovered so it is assumed that the abandoned car was not White's, and that White's car has not been located.

If the neighbor did return home...
  • How did he/she get home? Did White drop him/her off somewhere?
  • Did he/she have a reason as to why they returned without White?
  • Did he/she have an explanation as to why their belongings were discovered in an abandoned car?
