@Niner Nothing new on the docket calendar. We are slowly approaching the May 11th date. Hard to believe they would set that so far in advance and not have any other hearings in between. I will keep checking the docket though.

@Niner Since I was checking the docket for another case at Washoe I double checked this one to see if the 5/11/22 motion to confirm trial hearing is still on. They vacated it and the jury trial date of 5/31/22 and reset both dates as follows:

9/13/22 at 9:00 am Status Conference
1/18/23 at 4:00 pm Motion to Confirm Trial
2/6/23 at 9:00 am Jury Trial

COUNSEL ENGLER ADVISED THE COURT COUNSEL SIBLEY WILL NO LONGER BE WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE AND NEW CO-COUNSEL WILL BE ASSIGNED.

Engler and Sibley are with the Attorney General’s Office and Hickman is with the Public Defender’s Office.

They have set another status hearing for 11/16/22 at 2:00 pm. The trial dates remain the same but that could change if counsel is changing per the information above. I’ll check back on 11/17.

@Niner The status hearing happened yesterday. They set another one for 11/29/22 at 8:30 am. The Judge made the following order:

ORDERED THAT NOTICES BE FILED REGARDING MR. SIBLEY'S WITHDRAWAL FROM THE CASE AND MS. HICKMAN'S TRANSFER TO THE APD'S OFFICE SO THE RECORD IS CLEAR REGARDING THE ATTORNEYS OF RECORD. MR. ARRASCADA INFORMED THE COURT THE CASE HAS NOT TRANSFERRED TO THE APD'S OFFICE AND A NEW PD HAS NOT BEEN ASSIGNED TO THE CASE. THE PD AND APD WILL DISCUSS ASSIGNMENT AND POSSIBLE TRANSFER OF THIS CASE TO THE APD. MS. HICKMAN AND MR. ARRASCADA ADVISED THE COURT THAT REGARDLESS WHO REPRESENTS THE DEFT A REQUEST FOR A CONTINUANCE OF THE FEBRUARY TRIAL SETTING WILL BE MADE. A STATUS HEARING IS SET TO DISCUSS RESOLVING THIS ISSUE. THE TRIAL REMAINS AS SET.

I’ll check in on 11/30 with an update on the trial continuance. The trial date has not been changed yet.
